Mcshay’s Way Too Early Mock for 2020:
There's a lot of people starting to say Alabama is back in it for Trendon Watford. I am here to shut that rumor down. Alabama was the favorite for Watford his sophomore and junior year. However, when Mike Miller and Penny Hardaway took over at Memphis, that seemed to subside. Also, with Bill Armstrong (Birmingham native) and Will Wade at LSU starting to recruit him hard, that hurt their chances as well. Add those to the fact that Avery Johnson lost the locker room and was ultimately fired, and Alabama was facing an uphill climb.
I have thought Memphis was in control with Watford since the beginning of the year now, especially after the suspension of Will Wade. Before he was suspended, it was all LSU for Watford. Memphis has been the clubhouse favorite for him, until Wade was surprisingly reinstated a few days before Watford was going to announce his decision to Memphis. Since then, Watford has delayed his commitment and went completely silent on his recruitment. I have been gathering information from different Memphis and LSU writers trying to gauge where he is leaning. LSU writers and national guys have told me its LSU for a couple weeks, but Memphis writers have said it is 50/50.
What I am being told right now is it is concrete LSU. As in everyone will be shocked if he doesn't select LSU when he announces his decision. That is from LSU, national, and Memphis writers right now. Memphis writers have told me its between LSU and Alabama right now if that tells you anything. From what I know, Alabama has moved on from Trendon for a couple weeks now. They stay in contact, but have moved their attention to RJ Cole and Jahvon Quinerly. So, expect LSU to be the pick for Watford when that time comes barring something unforseen happening.

Glad we’ve moved on if he has.
If watford is really choosing to go to LSU because of wade, then he’s an idiot. Dude is going to be fired/indicted/imprisoned
Its Avery playing Jr 20 mins a game level decision making.
I know we all believe Lewis can be special but damn that's a reach at this point.
Granted I'm no NFL scout but I don't really recall watching Tua play and questioning his arm strength or pocket presence.
Arm is fine. Pocket presence? That's a tough one. He's fine stepping up into a pocket and he doesn't freak at a rush but he needs to learn to get rid of the ball quicker so he doesn't get killed. Every play doesn't have to be a HR. A dump off to a RB is just fine.
For better or worse, he’s the Hawaiian Brett Favre.
My personal bias is he, and all other left handed quarterbacks look awkward when flushed. In the heat of the moment it seems unnatural to me until I once again remember he’s a lefty. I think a few more years and I might feel differently , but I panic and think “oh shit, he’s gonna have to shovel pass this one” every time he’s moving.
I think the #1 thing Tua will have to show this year is that he can actually adjust to what he sees during a play, as opposed to just making decisions based on pre-snap reads. That’s a big reason why his stats against top 25 defenses looked so much different than against everybody else. The teams that showed one thing then shifted into something else gave him trouble.
Not sure if he is still active or not but we have a champs member that won a case in front of the SCOTUS. Pretty damn awesome
He won’t say it himself so I will. He had an opportunity to do something that only a handful of lawyers ever get and he absolutely crushed it. He made some new law in the process and, regardless of what happens in his case, changed the way a significant governmental entity is viewed by the courts. For someone to do that at such an early stage in their practice is pretty remarkable and deserves recognition.
The case: whether or not a local ordinance fining people for getting sick in city trash cans violated the first amendment. Puke = speech
You better have made partner like immediately
Congrats again Colonel Foreskin
HE SPOKE SOOOOO SLOWWWLLLYY A-HEEEEYYYYY
You know there was some killer narration
Haha I'm just glad I didn't faint at the podium.
And a truly epic ascent
Congrats on taking Obamacare away from all us Champz, asshole.
honestly though that's incredible, congrats bud. The first honorable champ since Dorsia
Are there links? Maybe post on tippy toe if you don’t want your name on here
I think colonel_forbin should be tested for deer antler spray. His argument was a little too on point if you know what I’m saying.
Just check the news on SCOTUS blog
Forbin could have convinced Deionte Thompson to stay, maybe time to put your skills to good use for once?
Can we count this as 13 in a row against Tennessee?
Man. I thought I had a good day.
That's incredible. Congrats forbin.
This has to be the greatest/only accomplishment anyone who's lived at Point-O-View Apartments has ever had.
Our staff has been killing it out west. They've offered basically every top 50 type guard/wing in Cali. I don't know the connection but supposedly some of those kids in the next few classes are pretty interested in Oats and like his style.
If we get just one of these kids I’m going to rub it in LeonardWashington ’s stupid face
Dolphins will three peat before that happens
So by 2023-24
Damn it Forbin, I won an appeal before the Mississippi Supreme Court yesterday, which looks far less impressive. Congrats!
The F1J1 difference
Awesome stuff Forbin you legend
Congrats Forbin, I look forward to your problematic TMB posts from 2010 coming up in your SCOTUS confirmation hearing one day
Lost to Auburn 1-5 in baseball last night. Season is a disaster.
Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats is still working on closing out his 2019 signing class strong just over one month on the job.
This weekend, the first-year Crimson Tide head coach had Howard point guard transfer RJ Cole on campus for an official visit.
“Bama was really nice,” Cole told BamaOnLine. “The campus itself was nice. Coach Oats and his coaching staff, they are really good people. I developed a little bit of a relationship with him in the little time I was there.”
The reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year would have to sit out the upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules, and would have two years to contribute at the college level starting in 2020.
“He feels like I fit in his offense; he feels like it’s a perfect match and the ideal situation for me to come in and be a guy who’s a seasoned point guard,” Cole said of Oats’ message. “He wants me to be that sit-out guy that can come in and learn his offense while I’m sitting out and come right in and perform.”
This all of course if Cole opts to stay in college as he’s currently declared for the NBA Draft (without hiring an agent). He has until the end of May to decide which route he will go.
Oats and company certainly left a positive impression on the veteran point guard.
“I feel like he’s a real relationship guy, he likes to build a relationship with his players,” Cole said of Oats. “I’ve heard a lot about him. I’ve heard some of his players talk about him. I feel like he’s a really great coach and a really great guy.”
New Bama assistant Bryan Hodgson is the lead recruiter going after the New Jersey native.
“He was the first guy to hit me when I was in the transfer portal,” Cole said of Hodgson. “He came to see me and see my parents. I really liked that and appreciate that.”
Alabama and UConn are the two schools that appear to be in best shape at this time. A visit to see the Huskies was set for next weekend, but Cole will be at an NBA draft prep camp, and had to reschedule his trip.
“I’ll probably end up deciding between those two,” he said, adding neither leads at this point, otherwise he would have committed by now.
Other schools that are recruiting Cole include Arkansas, Oklahoma State, and Seton Hall.
“I could see myself (at Alabama) because of the way that the culture Coach Oats had at Buffalo, he’s bringing it to Alabama, which is in the SEC,” Cole said. “It’s a really talented program, and they have a lot of talented players. I feel like I could come in and fit in perfectly in their system.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder averaged 21.4 points per game, earning a spot on the AP All-American honorable mention team.
beat Auburn yesterday. Tied 3-3 in the 6th right now.
