Can somebody give me a mock class? Havent been keeping up at all this year
All you need to know is that we’re crushing it and that some dudes are either gonna get a big bump soon or greyshirt offers
Four of our top five commits are linebackers (two 5 stars, one top 50, one top 100). The other guy is an electric receiver from Miami that has lit up camps. We’ve locked down all of the instate talent and we’re in the driver’s seat for four or five more top 30 players. It’s a great class.
Quandarrious is a fantastic name
It’s important to always have a guy named Q on the team. We’ve had two of ‘em who’ve been top 6 picks too.

We told y’all a few weeks ago that Bama was trending heavily with Q who the Tide made a top priority. When Auburn fell out of the picture, Bama seized the momentum and it's been a matter of time. Another fantastic pickup, and at this point, the Tide staff is picking and choosing who they want in this class, especially at the linebacker position where they are hitting on all cylinders right now. They will for sure have to turn away some big-time talent, but the guys they are expected to get are top choices.
As a player, Bama is getting a huge upside guy in Q. Every college coach I've talked to mentions his long-term potential and how his best football is ahead of him. He tested extremely well at the The Opening Regional in March -- 4.6 40 and 36-inch vertical at 6-foot-4.5, 217 pounds
Karl Scott with another huge get. We told you last year Scott was considered one of the best up-and-coming young recruiters in college football and that’s on full display with this class.
HoF episode, imo
we are on fire. Love it.
Good to see LB recruiting going pretty well after the last two classes.
5* Chris Braswell, WDE (#14) - 6-3, 220
5* Drew Sanders, ATH (#27) - 6-5, 222
4* Quandarrius Robinson, OLB (#53) - 6-4.5, 217
4* Demouy Kennedy, ILB (#98) - 6-3, 205
4* Jackson Bratton, ILB (#181) - 6-3, 225
3* De-Rickey Wright, OLB (#381) - 6-4, 220
And we are still heavily involved with all of these:
5* Justin Flowe, ILB (#3) - 6-2, 225
5* Sav'ell Smalls, OLB (#4) - 6-3, 230
4* Reggie Grimes, WDE (#31) - 6-4.5, 240
4* Phillip Webb, OLB (#40) - 6-4, 210
4* Will Anderson, WDE (#88) - 6-3, 233
Not sure how it's going to work out but if I had to guess, Bratton and Wright are going to be looking for new homes.
Bratton seems like a fine candidate for a greyshirt
we have to find a place for a kid named de-rickey
Looks like we've got another one coming.
Been a while since we were the underdogs going into season bc we lost to a team the year before that had almost everything coming back and they were the favorites to repeat. Clemson lost Watson after their first win. Feels like 2009 honestly. Lost to Tebow in 08 and UF was supposed to win it all again in 09.
Hope it's a 2020 player and not a 2021
since its june and we have 20 commits i guess its time to ask
how many scholarships are we working with for this cycle?
Agreed, but they've earned my respect. Idk what you want to call it, rivalry?, but the last 4 years has really been unique to any other in the history of CFB that I can think of. Two teams going back and forth for national titles for 4 fucking years is just crazy. Even more crazy is I full expect round 5 this year.
I think the biggest remaining question mark we have in recruiting pertains to the wideouts. We’ve got four committed but Jones-Bell is the only standout among them.
Javon Baker is criminally underrated. He wins MVP at every camp he goes to.
Holden is probably about where he should be. I like him as a big straightline target who fights for jump balls though. We haven’t really had one of those.
Worsham will not be in this class.
WR and QB.
Absolutely. They’re the closest we’ve seen during our run to being an actual competitor for us. They aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Best play of 2014
*QB hits streaking receiver after double move*
@BamaSteven13: Lane is a genius
I went wild on that throw. Sims could float it out there on the deep passes.
My buddy and I were huge sims/drake fans. We were sitting next to each other and went nuts during this play
I was right in the corner endzone he was sprinting towards. Was awesome so early in the game.
I contend that Blake’s time at wideout helped him deliver perfect deep balls because he knew exactly where the receivers wanted it
Blake used to have a lock on best deep ball of the Saban era, but I fear he’s been passed by
Also, thanks to Tiffin for like #15,000
That play reminds me of how much fun I’ve had over the past decade
Only fitting that we bookend this decade with another undefeated national championship
Is the Cali kid- I think his name is Young- still the most likely QB?
He's the only one even on the radar. Maybe the kid committed to Fresno St. as a backup option.
I wonder if we would even entertain not taking a QB for the first time since Saban's been here. Might be more open to the idea with new transfer rules in place.
Carson Beck going from commit to UF lock to 100% solid with UGA was.... very strange.
I hope Wilder knocks Petty into the 2021 season
I don't know what to even think about all that.
Coleman renovations still 3-4 years away
NashTide said... (original post)
According to Byrne on Wimp's radio show. That's 3-4 years "before we put shovel in dirt" which means 4-5 years from actual completion.
I know they have to raise money. I know there are material cost increases. It's still unacceptable to have this mindset. and if it were a need identified with the football program, they'd find a way to get it done quickly. Byrne needs to get his thumb out of his ass with basketball and get this moving or else Oats will be gone at the first sign of real success. DV away.
I mean, I like hearing we are working on it but I can’t say I’m not a little disappointed that it wont be done any time soon. Football has great facilities and are top 10 in the country stadium wise, probably higher. I just wish we’d throw a little more cash at basketball too.
:cracks knuckles: time to bitch
these sons of bitches just aren't demanding enough
for real though, how about byrne using a $100mm range there
Wouldn't it just make more sense to start fundraising now for a new arena in 10 years than fundraise for more Coleman renovations in 5? Also feel like people would be more willing to donate if it was something completely new
Does it have anything to do with all the money we are pumping into the football stadium right now?
Athlete Arik Gilbert is visiting this weekend. He might be tough to pull away from UGA but fingers crossed that we land either him or Darnell Washington.
I bet there’s a big drop off between Waddle and whoever our #4 receiver is
