Outscored in the second half
Overreactions will be plentiful but look how he rest of the country fared. It’s going to be a weird season.
Some coachable moments in that second half.
In the first half, with our first unit in the game, I thought we looked fantastic.
we played great when it mattered tho
Not super bothered by the score; we keep the pedal to the metal, we win that by 50.
It’ll be us and Clemson again if we stay healthy. Maybe Ohio State too.
I feel like this is the perfect first game. Outcome never in doubt, a comfortable win, I think we avoided any major injuries (?), certainly could’ve easily won by a larger margin if we “tried”, and yet there were plenty of teachable moments and nothing for the team to get too cocky about just yet.
Our offense was balanced in a totally unforced way. It was fvckin awesome.
The defense was great early but the 3rd down bug showed up pretty quick and it's what fvcked us last year.
I was impressed with Missouri for playing a 1st game with a new staff.
What the fvck is happening in A&M/Vanderbilt?
Vanderbilt is supposed to be ATROCIOUS.
Najee looked really fast and decisive and I loved that. I feel like the school record is definitely going to be his
The fact that Saban pulled the starters so early makes me think he feels really good about their development. Doesn’t think they need the reps.
Eh... so much for the 28 point spread being a lock.
Also important to remember that the youngsters lost a lot of good development time with no spring ball.
Najee still couldn’t get that big one. It’s always one ankle grab or slip away. It’s coming this season though.
My biggest take away, and relief, is that Najee finally looks comfortable. Hits the hole, doesn’t have that first step hesitation. Him being a reliable back will be key to balancing the offense because B Rob sucks...
Mac needs to keep the consistency that he showed tonight and continue to make smart decisions with the ball.
First team OL doesn’t fuck around. I think if we need to impose our will for all 4 quarters we’ll be able to.
Damn it feels good to have some experienced LBs
Open field tackling has improved, I mean it couldn’t get worse from last year
Good win and as Baseballman86 said, plenty to address in practice and keep kids humble.
1st half was money
South Carolina never change.
Wish Tennessee would have lost. They’re not very good though. Tootoo is a stud but their secondary is bad and the OL didn’t play great tonight.
Mac Jones was awesome tonight. I’ll take 18/24, 250, 2/0 all day everyday.
Already thinking ahead, next week could be a really good week for us. LSU already has a conference loss, Auburn could pick one up against UGA and we can give A&M one. Having that type of advantage in the West standings, this early in the season, is unheard of and would be really nice.
It was kindof shocking to see Trey Sanders look that bad after the amount of hype in camp. Maybe it was just OL at that point.
Didn’t realize Roman Harper was now on Sec Football final
Found this out today, too
He’s got to be the most ripped dude with a gray head in America.
gotta go first half in games like this and we hit that no prob
State’s gonna be dangerous with our secondary. It was the one area that annoyed me slightly with the ones.
They’re going to be legit hell this year
LSU wasn’t getting to him quick enough for the number of guys they were bringing.
Those kinds of offense will always be frustrating, but I think we will come at them better than LSU did.
Hit the over and mizzo team total :)
And Brian Robinson dropped a TD pass.
And Waddle had one taken off the board.
Rewatching the film.
Mac's command and comfort level in the offense is just light years beyond last season.
Mac is a stud. First team offense looks lethal. Defense looks much improved. We won’t really know until we play someone worth a damn. But we look like a natty contender for sure.
Whatever this thread is certain will happen never happens
Daniel Wright had 11 tackles last night, all solo.
Ekiyor's starting spot may not last very long.
The DE who sacked Bryce and forced his fumble came through his hole. Had several other missed assignments as well; you can generally bet that if he was pulling, he didn't get to his man in time to affect the play. Won't be a fun film session for him.
Yeah. He was in on a ton of plays. He also missed a bunch of tackles but it could be because he was tired. Even the starters need the reps to get into game shape.
I'm thinking Drew Sanders may not be the brightest bulb in the box.
The next offensive play Mizzou ran after the TD he botched coverage on was the exact same play to the opposite side; which he missed again.
I was wondering why Saban was lighting into the punter after that play.
Move over, Snakes. There’s a new huge dipshit making wild claims while hopefully wasted when he said the dumbest thing in the history of this thread
I would never take a Bama line that big in an SEC game. Just asking to get backdoor’d.
Like Leonard said, stick to the 1Q and 1H bets on us. Took Bama -7 in 1Q and it felt like the easiest bet I will win all season. Even if you don’t get that 2nd score, it’s still an easy push.
Leadership boner engaged
what that moody was going to win the Butkus?
Watching back...Chris Allen had a very solid game. Our LBs look back to normal thankfully. Just dominant performance out of all of them. I honestly think Christian Harris could end up the best player on the team. What a specimen
Which one of you assholes is this?
