How many spots do we have left and what’s the most likely finish as of now?

The way the year rollercoasted, I feel like there is no way to accurately guess. The only thing I'd say is I'd be surprised if we didn't end up with someone we don't expect right now, and I hope that two of those spots are filled by Thomas Jr. and Sage Ryan.

Kinda disappointing we never wrapped up Sorey considering how long we led, though. Arnold and Marshall would have really made an exceptional DB class.

Are we going to take Tunmise? Seems like he is all about Bama based on tweets posted in the past and his former teammate on board, but it feels like we've been slow playing him for others.

i'm going to assume mckinstry plays point guard? i wouldnt be upset about an extra ball handler the last half of the year who doesnt count against the scholarship limit.

he cant be worse tham avery jr

The number is 25 or 26 depending who you ask.

    JT Tuimoloau
    Maason Smith
    Tunmise Adeleye
    Shemar Turner
    Terrion Arnold
    Sage Ryan
    Brian Thomas Jr.
    Xavian Sorey

It seems the entire board has shrunk to these elite eight for the final 3 or 4 spots. But the minute you say that, some new targets and/or players committed elsewhere will pop on the radar.

If I had to call them right now:

    JT Tuimoloau - OSU
    Maason Smith - LSU
    Tunmise Adeleye - Bama
    Shemar Turner - A&M
    Terrion Arnold - UGA
    Sage Ryan - LSU
    Brian Thomas Jr. - Bama
    Xavian Sorey -UGA

    DL:
I think we love JT and Smith at DL but are on the outside looking in with both. Either leading or in the thick of it with Turner and Adeleye. I think we value Turner a little more and he’s also my favorite.

    DB:
I’ve heard that Arnold has remained the #1 DB on our board, even over Kool Aid. Coaches love him and think he’s a corner. UGA/UF/Bama battle with UGA having momentum. Ryan continues to show us more interest than LSU would have hoped but most still feel he’s just kicking the tires and will end up in BR.

    WR:
Zero doubt Thomas is our #1 and only target at WR right now. All in on him. I think we lead LSU.

    LB:
With what we have at LB already Sorey is kindof seen as a luxury guy. But somebody we would make room for no matter what. Committing to UGA soon though.

The Thomas stuff is so quiet because of the backlash he’d receive if it were public that we were leading.

We’ve filled our needs in this class really really well already. Put us in a very good position with these last 3-4 spots to get picky and take best available guys. Still need one more DL for sure though. Kindof the last piece but I have no worries about us doing that with what’s left on our board. And we probably take 2 more.

Brooks and hall. Could have a higgins/Ross like effect we saw for Clemson. Also think brockermeyer/latham as bookend tackles for Bryce in 2 years is going to be pretty badass

I'd believe it. When LA recruits are tight lipped this has historically almost always been the reason. Really want Thomas, as I think he/Brooks/Agiye have 1st round potential. Leary looks like something in between a Maze and Waddle from the slot.

I think it's hard to not be excited about the prospect of the two bookends. Two top 5-10 players at one of the most important positions that will undoubtedly make everyone around them on offense look better, but most exciting for me is Agiye. I've mentioned a few times how highly I think of his potential, just keep his head on straight and he will be dominant imo.

For two "lower tier" commits, Lawson is one of the better players to come out of the area in the last few years (though I expect him to end up a top 50 type guy), and Calloway seems to have inhuman athleticism if the reports are to be believed, so it'll be interesting to see how he goes as a project.

I think this is a phenomenal class but idk if we’ve met our needs in the secondary- especially if we miss on Arnold. I would have loved to have had a great secondary haul to match what we’ve done in the front 7 the past two classes. Koolaid is great but we really need several impact guys in the secondary imo. That should be a big priority next class I’m sure.

I guess it depends on who is right- we obviously are a lot higher on some like Calloway and Smith than the services. I tend to trust in the Dark Lord when it comes down to that

Has there been any update on Brown’s injury? I assume Saban will touch on that, and Waddle, during his PC. Hoping against hope that since we haven’t heard/seen anything regarding surgery for Waddle yet that there may be a chance.

Could Jones Bell or Javon Baker get some reps over Bolden? I know Bolden has earned his way on the depth chart but I just don't think he has the straight line or lateral speed. Read: he's white. We just went from the most electric playmaker in CFB to a white possession receiver. Bolden is going to run good routes, get open, and catch the ball. I don't know if the coaching staff trusts Jones Bell or Baker to do those things.

So basically, you want to know if we should play a couple of True freshman who we haven't seen a snap from (and didn't have a spring practice) because the slot guy who filled in last week and actually had a great game, is white and therefore does not appear fast to you.

    Take a lap gump.

He had a pretty good game, he did fumble. And yes I'd like to see some elite athletes at that position. We've had a decent amount of WRs play as true freshmen over the years. And it's just a discussion point. I don't want to take a lap, you take a lap.

Bolden isn’t Waddle (no one in college is), but he’s still an absolute nightmare in the slot and he’s equally comfortable lining up in the backfield. He’s going to be huge for us down the stretch.

Do y'all think the lack of DL push/performance is due to losing Bo Davis, or are we simply expecting too much of guys that are mostly true sophomores?

It's a lot to ask for guys with only one full year in a college weight training program under their belts to be studs against this level of competition. Seems that unless they're super special (A'Shawn, J. Allen) that it is usually until they hit that JR year that they make the jump as upper-classmen.

If it wasn't for a lot of DL recruiting misses we wouldn't need to be playing true sophomores but it is what it is. That 2018 class really biting us in the ass. I tend to think that it a little too early to be expecting All-SEC type play from guys this young at that particular position.
