Baseball with the sweep
putting it on the new page.
you can’t actually go through the full draft in NBA and then come back. But can go to combine basically a d then come back
Would’ve been cool to hear this ovation
That’s what it’s there for
Good for him. Glad he had it
Reading the 2022 Draft thread. Is Justyn Ross our biggest recruiting miss under Saban? Jameis Winston? We had some really close misses out of Mississippi that turned out to be studs like AJ Brown and Fletcher Cox but that’s Mississippi. Winston and Ross were in state guys.
Yea hard to say kids from out of state are huge misses. Jameis was a huge one, especially when he went and won a title and Heisman.
both of those guys never gave us much a chance and wanted to go out of state. Jameis in particular wasn’t going to Bama and sitting behind AJ iirc
I thought Saban chose to pursue Gunner? and put Winston on the back burner ?
Markail Benton just got ejected for targeting for Jax St. in their playoff game.
When considering this question, I ask myself “who cost us a title?”
Clemson would’ve still beat us in 2018 if Ross flipped teams. I think we’d have won it in 2014 if Jameis was our QB.
Panei Sewell didn’t cost us a title, but he was a huge miss. He wanted to come to Bama badly.
So probably Craig Sanders then, right?
Fuck can’t forget about Spencer Region
I recall this being a time where Saban wasn't so open to guys playing other sports and Jameis wanted to play baseball. But that may have been more rumor than anything idk
lol of course
Missouri sucks, so we needed that one. Good to take care of business.
Baseball is at Vandy next weekend.
Wow good for him. Would love more details on it. I know the school can take them out for players but I thought thought was normally for draft eligible players coming back for their Sr year? Maybe he did this on his own?
Think it had more to do with FSU (Dameyune Craig) convincing his dad and him that Alabama was racist and would never give the job to a black quarterback, which in hindsight is obviously hilarious.
I approve of these random stats Clint digs up. Keep adding them to the recruiting material.
I'm actually interested how OSU's recent few WR classes turn out in comparison to the guys we have on campus, and the 2017-18 haul. On paper they probably have more star power at the position than anyone has ever had, but it is highly unlikely they produce the same results. Could be the ultimate indicator of our WR evaluation/development prowess.
This is correct, Ant was an FSU fan and Craig convinced him he’d never play at Bama, Saban recruited the grandma and didn’t consider the influence Ant had.
So we’re in agreement it was Jameis
Keenan Allen is the one that always sticks with me as a weird one. Saban was dead set on him playing DB and wouldn’t let his brother come to school as QB.
Keenan now an All Pro NFL receiver and his brother actually turned out to be a pretty good QB
I remember being proud of Nick for not allowing the family to hold him hostage by forcing us to take his scrub brother just to get Keenan. Still proud, actually. I don’t think we would’ve won anything extra having had Keenan
Seems like a good dude.
Is this good?
Didn’t know this was a thing, but I never watch NBA
Even if this were true, who tf are these other Cavs players who think they should be getting the ball? Besides Garland that team is trash
Sounds a little familiar,
‘"The day Kobe gained my respect was (when) the guys were complaining. They said, 'Shaq, Kobe's not passing the ball.' I said, 'I'll talk to him.' I said, 'Kobe, there's no I in team.' And Kobe said, 'I know, but there's a M-E in that m-----------.' So I went back and told Rick (Fox) and ... would say, 'Just get the rebound. He's not passing.'"
-Shaq during his eulogy of Kobe.
Sexton has always dominated the ball. And for good reason, he's usually the best scoring option. He's still young, he'll be in the league for many years to come and perception will change when he has a team worth half a shit.
Good luck to the young man, always seemed like a great kid
How the hell do we even have room?
I’m assuming we are fixing to start processing kids like Jarez Parks.
Now that kids can go anywhere without losing a year, it’s a lot easier to process kids. Most will likely end up at good programs if transferring from Bama and now they can play immediately. This rule will benefit us greatly.
Oh btw AU is gonna be absolute dog shit next year.
He was ran down by teammates when he was a rookie, love has been visibly agitated with him during games... these guys are pussies
what made that come to mind for you?
Kevin Love is probably the main culprit here. He hasn’t been a fan of Sexton since he got there. Sexton needs to just ignore it and keep playing. He’s been really good this year and is only improving.
Saw where they’ve got 2 more hitting the portal.
anyone worth a shit?
