Fire both of them. We just need to clean house imo. Especially on defense. But BoB needs to get gone too.

Problem is we need Valai for recruiting the state of Texas, especially with UT getting the SEC bump now

We have 4 and 5 star players all over the defensive side of the roster, and as you can see, if they aren't coached worth a shit, the talent doesn't help you. If they don't know where to to be on the field, it doesn't help that they are a stud athlete. I'm fine with going with coaching over recruiting . I think it is much needed at this point.

Don’t think O’Brien needs to go at all. Just needs to remember he’s back in college and call the game accordingly.

Not really. Our defense is hot garbage. I don't think any level of the defense is well coached.

Ole Miss last year, Florida in the SECCG, Florida this year, and now A&M. All coached by Pete Golding. All blown assignments across the board, shit tackling, terrible gap control, bad communication, secondary looked like shit, linebackers looked like shit, no pressure. I agree that we looked great against Ole Miss. But you can't have a 50% hit rate on putting a competent defense on the field. You don't get a pass on the other games where they look like shit.

I think everyone agrees Pruitt is the first call if we can get that cleared through the SEC. If that’s a no, would you try Schumann next? Give him an opportunity to take the “co-“ off his title? He still might not want to leave Kirby, don’t know.

I mean yeah, I think we need better coaching too. But this almost reads like some Bunker post about taking 5 heart players instead of 5 star players. Talent is still what wins football games.

Pruitt is a really attractive option for several reasons. Even beyond his proven coaching acumen as DC, he’s a guy who could potentially stay a long time. He’s a Bama guy through and through, already failed as a HC and based on his rumored comments, doesn’t seem all that interested in going for a HC position again. I think it’s a very real possibility that he could be satisfied as Bama DC for the rest of his career, or at the very least until Saban leaves.

This issue comes up from time to time. It has come up with OL coaches recently. There were times that we'd rather take a fundamentally good OL coach over a recruiter.

Fire Golding yesterday but way too early to pull the plug on BOB. He made some questionable play calls but it took Sark and others a little while to get full mojo as well. I love the idea of having BOB and Bryce next year after a full year working together. As long as he’s not throwing to Slade.

People are way overreacting on O’Brien. He had a very bad series in the red zone when he threw it 3 straight times against a worn out front. But the guy can’t help guys dropped balls that were good play calls or Bryce missed guys that were good play calls. Even against all the odds he still found a way to win the damn game. Our perspectives have shifted so far with how bad Pete is that if our OC doesn’t call a perfect game he needs to go. It’s asinine. He isnt working with multiple 1st round receivers and a 5th year senior QB and arguably the best OL we’ve ever had. He’s breaking in a brand new offense and has done a great job I think. The only head that should roll is Golding. His defense is a disgrace.

He's had multiple braindead moments. 2nd quarter of the Florida game was inexplicable. The goal line sequence Saturday and red zone calls in general were fireable offenses. Calling long developing pass plays against heavy blitzes. There are some alarming trends starting to develop.

No. O'Brien called a horrible game.

Took until the second half to adjust to the pass rush. Entire first half all of our WRs were running deep outs when TAMU was bringing extra blitzers.

He kept taking deep shots on 2nd and medium +, which with Bryce's accuracy issues put us behind the chains.

He ran right on the only running play of the most important drive of the game, despite the fact that the right side is the weak part of our offensive line.

I am not sure what stipulations we have in place with Bryce, but typically it's up to the QB to call a hot route when they are blitzing like that. Same with changing protections. Seems like he was doing better at that in the second half.

He scored 31 points. If that’s a horrible game then sign me the fuck up. If we can’t win a game against Texas A&M scoring 31 the problem isn’t our OC. It’s the fucking DC. This is crazy

It's not an either or proposition Junior. I regret every single day that Peter Golding is employed by the University of Alabama. His defense gave up 30+ points to a team that had only scored 42 total points in 3 games combined against Power 5 competition, and not against top flight competition. I give the Defense more responsibility for that loss than any grouping on the field.

But we also left a ton of points on the field due to a horrible game from O'Brien. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

That’s fine but I’m willing to give OBrien a pass bc he’s breaking in new guys everywhere and they aren’t executing. Everyone talks about the pressure, and yes we struggled with the overload but multiple times Owens just straight up got beat.

I think BOB fucked up plenty I am just not ready to call for his head like many others ITT. Nobody is going to be perfect with this many new players.

Golding, however, should have been left in Texas. That son of a bitch has 9 lives.

All the talk about Pruitt and changes are nice but the sad part is, I don’t actually believe Golding is going anywhere. We’re stuck with this guy. The year for change was after 2019 and here we sit two years later.

I thought Saban seemingly taking over or at least getting involved during the game may have been a sign that we haven’t seen to date. But yeah, that could easily be an anomaly, Pete puts together a couple of decent games this year and he is right back with us next season. Wouldn’t surprise me.

It’s funny to me that some are saying give BOB a break because we are inexperienced this year on offense, and in the same breath they excuse him for not utilizing our most experienced offensive players (BRob and left side of the line) in critical situations.

Did he have a sketchy past? Even still, just as a hire it would be unexciting, I agree. It's more about available OC names. Saban of course always finds a guy when we say this.

Does it come down to Pruitt being cleared before it's too far into 2022? It almost feels like that.

Poor coordinating has and will cost us this year. Next year we are as setup to win it all as we've been at almost any point. Frustration will reach another level if we get 2018'd again where the supremely talented team gets worked by superior coaching.

Alabama defensive back target Trequon Fegans, a product of Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson, de-committed from Miami on Monday afternoon after a few-month stint on the Hurricanes' commitment list.

"I would Like To Say That I’m Decommiting From The University Miami And Reopening My Recruitment... My Recruitment is 1000 % Open!!!" he tweeted.

Fegans was recently in Tuscaloosa for the Ole Miss game and has been taking a serious look at the Tide.

"Bama," he replied when asked which team posed the biggest threat to the Hurricanes.
