The last 11 years on the-mainboard have been nothing but a blessing. I'd like to thank my parents and all those that have supported me during this long posting journey. I'd also like to thank my brothers in the Champs thread. We've been through a lot of adversity together and I wouldn't want to post alongside any other group of posters. However, we did not finish this last season the way we wanted. The job is not done yet. Therefore, I'd like to announce I'll be bringing my talents back to the Champs thread in 2022. Roll tide. 247 and the other sites are rejoicing over all these social media posts about players returning or leaving as they provide unlimited click bait articles. "This key Alabama player just announced that he is coming back next year." Click here for 100 useless words and a link to a social media post you probably already saw.
With what we return on D if I hear that the O is torching them in practice I’m going to call the Titans and see if we can schedule them since we’re clearly past these bullshit college teams
I’m going the Agiye route. I’m here for now but if you guys bust my balls too much or start talking politics, me and Larry are outta here
Also calling it now - Malachi is going to bounce back in a major way next season. I halfway expect us to announce he’s having surgery/see him in a black jersey this spring for something that nagged him all year.
Is Dallas Turner already our second best defender? He and Bill both had 8.5 sacks from November on. Insane.
Another year in our s&c program is gonna do wonders for Dallas. He’s already a lot leaner than he was in high school. Also, it’s insane how we’ve all forgotten about Will’s injury scare. Dude took a helmet to the knee week three, somehow played against UF then went on the finish 5th in Heisman voting. And him playing that Florida game should tell everyone all they need to know about his desire to play next season.
Speaking of guys coming back, it’s gonna be awfully nice to have more than two scholarship running backs
I know some of y’all weren’t pissed about losing the ship this year but I’ve wanted the 3peat so bad and we had a shot. No way we’re not winning it all next year
I for one enjoyed losing the ship. Spoiler of course we were all pissed to lose the ship it just wasn't as bad as past years because no one expected this team to be in the ship in the first place
Pretty huge, given Latham came in at guard have to pencil him in for a tackle spot which really just leaves one spot open
Didn't watch the All Star games, but Booker was supposedly bullying guys all week/during the game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him come in and take a spot, maybe at guard with Cohen kicking out to one of the tackle positions. Ideally, Latham is ready and Tommy puts on the mass needed to handle SEC edge rushers. They could be dominant by the end of the season. Something like: Brockermeyer Cohen McLaughlin Ekiyor Latham Jaeden Roberts has been a handful this year supposedly as well. We'll be fine on the interior, but the tackles being ready are definitely the teams biggest ? mark. Talent won't be an issue.
Gibbs is going to end up in the Heisman discussion alongside Bryce (and Will, but they still won't give it to a defender). Putting that out there now.
Not having a RB that could make people miss and serve as a real threat in space was a huge hinderance to our O this year (god bless B Rob)
