If we land Addison do we see healthy Tua type offensive numbers? I mean good lord at the talent. I don’t know if we will ever see a QB put up numbers like he did and get to rest the second half but Bryce with Gibbs, Addison, Burton, Harris and a Holden/Earle/Brooks. That could be lethal if Bryce has a clean pocket.
Saban gives zero fucks. Hall leaves and we replace him with the Biletnikoff winner Wish we could get a damn left tackle
This Pritchett quote doesn’t give me much confidence “I was talking to Coach (Eric) Wolford, and he was telling me they need a little bit of help at left tackle,” Pritchett told BamaOnLine. “So the sooner I get in, the better. I’ve just been really preparing for that moment when I step foot on campus.”
Eli Ricks tweeted side eyes and then Jamil Burroughs tweeted something like “Saban tried to warn y’all.” Think both deleted. And Burroughs posted something to the effect of “damn, can’t post anything without you people going crazy and speculating.”
What's so frustrating is that we have the talent. Latham Brockermeyer Booker Pritchett 4th year Kight 29th Year Randolph Surely we can find two competent tackles in there
I have confidence that the offensive line will sort itself out. There's just too much talent there and somebody will rise to the top. The interior should be damn good with guys with plenty of experience. Combine all this talent with a proven SEC offensive line coach in Wolford and I think we will see a more consistent and complete unit.
I think we’re also putting a lot of stock into A-day where Saban told BOB to abandon the run so we were blitzing every single play and Will, Dallas and Braswell were eating the tackles up. Obviously no other team has the edge rushers we do but our line will benefit from a more balanced game plan. Then we’ve got Gibbs too as a safety valve.
Gibbs is going to be so good for Bryce just coming out of the backfield when things break down. So many weapons.
Yeah. Gibbs + getting Jase back is basically taking that ridiculous Bryce scramble and pitch to BRob in the SECCG and making it a viable full offensive package. Even if the OL can’t hold up we have broken play ability all day.
I fully believe that his injury hurt us a lot in the red zone. He was so good there before he got hurt.
I’m real interested to see how the carries actually play out because I don’t think Trey is “the guy” and Jahmyr is gonna play the Jacobs/Drake role. I wouldn’t be surprised if Roydell leads the team in rushing yards.
I think JD could still be a first rounder potential alone. The NBA loves athletic, long guards like him. His potential is crazy too.
Yeah, I wasn’t trying to suggest JD couldn’t be a 1st rounder, but I think it’s likely later if so. I was just saying that both could ensure they’re drafted.
I’m really interested to see where Ellis goes. He has a lot of upside himself. Good frame too. He’s a really interesting prospect. If he can become more aggressive as a scorer he could be really good. He just is so inconsistent seeking and getting his shots.
I was surprised when he announced he was staying in college and entering the portal. I thought for sure he’d try the NBA draft. I’ve seen plenty of previous mocks that had him in the 2nd round.
Pretty sure that was a rumor but not true. He’s in the draft as far as I know and doesn’t plan on coming out.
Bad Auburn rumor. Got a decent source close to team, and he said only place Ellis is playing next year is NBA.
You seemed sure about it so I thought maybe I had missed something in the post and wasn’t connecting who you were talking about because that Keon-Auburn rumor was couple of months ago.
