Calvin Ridley – 7 catches, 103 yds, 2 TD; 1 rush, 18 yds. Will Anderson – 2 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 sack (5 yds), 2 QBH.
It may have gotten mentioned already and I missed it, but now 16 consecutive seasons with 10 or more wins. With a win on Saturday (or following) would be 15th season in last 16 with at least 11 wins. Pretty incredible.
We have the #4 red zone offense. We've had 40 red zone attempts. 23 rushing TDs, 7 passing, 8 field goals. So scored on 38/40 attempts with a .950 scoring average.
They showed a stat Saturday that we've scored a touchdown on something like 20 straight red zone possessions, which is absurd. We've scored a TD on 21 of our last 23 red zone trips dating back to the A&M game.
So I just looked through the NCAA statistics for pretty much all categories. We don't stand out in any particular category on defense. We're #18 in total defense, #34 in team tackles for loss , #12 in team sacks , #16 team passing efficiency defense, #14 scoring defense, #27 rushing defense, #44 red zone defense, #23 passing yards allowed, #42 in passes intercepted, #11 first down defense, #6 4th down defense, and #29 3rd down conversion defense. But we have the #19 strength of schedule and #4 strength of schedule in the SEC (Georgia has the #52 strength of schedule btw). My theory is that if you adjusted this for SOS these numbers would be elite on defense. Because I feel like the defense is elite and not reflected in these numbers. SOG do you have some advanced stats that better reflect the proficiency of the defense? Random other awesome stat-we have the #5 passing yard per completion because Milroe connects on so many bombs
#8 in FEI #6 SP+ defense #7 relative PPG def (how much we allow compared to opponent avg) #5 relative total defense #6 relative pass defense per attempt #18 relative rush defense per attempt (almost entirely due to Jayden Daniels)
All I'm interested in this week is starting to see the "War Eagle anyway" and "I love Auburn for so much more than football" by mid-3rd quarter.
I knew it was bad but never reaching the red zone and only 2 drives of 20+ yards is awful. God damn that’s embarrassing
Watching highlights from that 2018 Iron Bowl is hilarious when you juxtapose the offense then and now. Tua just chucked it all game.
Has Kareem Jackson always played right on the line of legal/dirty hits like he has this season or is this new? I don’t remember him getting fined, ejected and suspended like he has this season.
i was sitting with a bunch of season ticket holders and when i sang rammer jammer after the game, this old lady told me “people like you are the reason i don’t like alabama fans” oops i was referencing 2009, great story anyways that 2008 game was lit though. a complete murdering after putting up with years of tub’s fingers
I really despise how that season ended. That regular season was the most fun I’ve ever had watching football.
The only time I’ve really just been absolutely perplexed by an outcome in a game during the Saban era.
