If we beat UConn will it be considered one of the biggest final 4 upsets? 11.5 underdog seems like a lot, I’d be curious to see some of the biggest spreads all time for the final 4.

man I don’t hate lebron lol. I just don’t think Bronny is a special player and none of the hype around him helped USC recruit well or play well. I don’t see why we’d need to go get him. We have more than enough momentum recruiting already. We are in the final four right now. We have publicity. We can agree to disagree there. No one is slighting him because he’s lebrons son, I’m a huge lebron fan. Have been for years. That doesn’t make his son special all of a sudden. Maybe I’m wrong and he goes somewhere and is amazing but I’ve never been hyped about him. As a recruit or at USC. He’s just not that special.
If we were to win it all, it would be right there with the 97 Arizona wildcat team, especially if we were to beat UConn, and then Purdue.
LeBron would likely want to play for a team nearby if Bronny came to Alabama. So, the Hawks could have LeBron for his final years as he teams up with Trae and Murray
First sentence, oh yeah great point I’m with you. Second, ok if true heck yea let’s get Lebron in here! Third….ughhhh man Estrada hasn’t even faked a defensive play the entire year.
That’s why I said offensively wrt what Bronny can do. Guy who’s more a threat attacking the rim who can pass. If Bronny can become a 10/5/5 guy somewhere while playing high level defense that’s a great addition to any team. Even blue bloods like Bama
while that may be true, he is tied for the lead in defensive win shares. that probably says more about the team than it does him though.
they were ok. definitely not the stars of the show. sherrell seems like a fine rim defender who is confident in shooting 3s.
Good defensively. Offensively Reid had a nice take early. You can definitely see his size and physicality. He will be a good player for us. He looks like he will help not get pushed around in the wing/post area. Needs to get better offensively and work on his handles a bit. Sherrill had a nice block when I was watching. You can see his length. He’s a good shot blocker. Good instincts. Seemed to be active in seeking someone out to box out so that’s a good sign too. Offensively he wasn’t hitting shots really but Alabama will get them both in the gym and work on that. I’m not worried on that aspect for either. Think both will be a big help defensively next year for us.
edgecombe sure made me think i was right for favoring him over reid. but one game, sample size, etc etc
Reid had a really nice drive and finish through some traffic that showed his burst and potential to create, but didn't do much other than a few nice hustle plays. He is built pretty well for a HS senior. Sherrell definitely looked like he can bring back some of that physicality and shotblocking around the rim that we got with Bediako, but is more mobile and will offer a little more in ball handling and potential to be a stretch 5.
yeah he looked really good. A little different player than Reid. But I think both will be really good college players.
Reid looked like a good rebounder which is huge for us. We don’t need guys that excel at creating their own shots. They both look like really good fits for us.
they are convinced that we are going to just roll over and get beat by 40. Sears sucks. Oats is overrated. They’ll run away with it. God I want this one.
We are the least talked about of the final 4 teams. I heard a podcast basically say we have the least compelling story line. NC State has the Burns story. Purdue has Edey. UConn is unstoppable and going for 2 natties in a row. We're just lucky to be here, shitty on defense, and somehow have shot enough 3s to stumble into the final 4. I love it. Oats should be feeding them this motivation with a spoon.
Haven’t seen this before. May have to get me one. Love that we’re starting to go back to the old logo.
Can’t attack him too much but also don’t let him get in your head. Play your game and force him to cover space. Gonna need a good game from Nelson and Jarin shooting it to bring him out. Sears and Estrada are going to have to really be careful with their lay up attempts. They both like to attack bigger guys which is fine but they also have to know when to dish it off.
