I think Kirby was just happy to not get embarrassed. They don't want to play us again. The outcome would be the same.
Sat in scholarship club for 15 years. We gave them up last year. Far superior to the zone. Only thing the zone is good for is those incredibly hot September games.
You are right. Yeah it is hard for me to justify giving up where we are. Just trying to look ahead for when the kids start coming. Maybe back to the stadium club is the way to go.
yep. not worth all that up front money if I can only make 1-2 games a year. cheaper just to pick and choose on stubhub.
Yep. I thought I would miss it tremendously after attending basically every game for about 18 years, but outside of the odd game I would like to attend (Saturday night), I really don't. Never realized how much time I was spending until we didn't do it.
finally rewatching the game. A couple of the big pass plays in the second half UGA's WRs pushed off. Arian Smith pushed ZB and Young pushed Bak. They can't get separation so they have to push.
I traded a 12 hour round trip drive for being closer but having a kid makes it even more difficult. I sell a few and my nieces and nephews want tickets instead of Christmas and birthday so I keep foolishly paying the price. I gave my nephew my tickets for last Saturday because we’re in an outage and he didn’t even say thanks. Rude.
I've heard a fair amount of people commenting that if the game would've been played for 10 more minutes we would've lost. Well, if we would've had 10 more mins to the first half we would've been up by 35+.
Ryan Williams doing all of that and then going into the endzone and dropping the dirty bird...man...kid was sent from Bammer heaven
Here's the full quote, via Rothstein. "The NBA intrigues me for sure. Training camps open up this week in the NBA, and our staff is going to split up around the country and learn different concepts and bring them back. But I've got three daughters. I think the college coaching lifestyle makes it more conducive to being a good father. You're not on the road like you are all the time in the NBA. I'm happy where I am right now. We love it at Alabama. I'm going to continue to study the NBA, but we love it here right now."
Gawd daym the baseball nearly killed me I need to come back to my safe space and talk Hollywood to recharge my batteries
Bomani said Ryan Williams has a fake ID that gets him anywhere, including 1998. Only explanation for him knowing the Dirty Bird.
What was the prevailing thought itt on DeBoer punting on that 4th and 1 late in the game? I absolutely hated it in the stadium, but we were pinned pretty deep. Just felt like we couldn’t get a stop regardless and our best chance was keeping their offense off the field.
I did not like it for the exact reasons you said. Feel like with out QB and our OL you can find a play to get a yard. But I did get it - they had to score a TD and it's still a long way to go. Certainly not infuriated, but was a bit shocked that we didn't. I do see why he might have felt hesitant giving it to a back after watching a replay of the 4th down run earlier in the game. That was about as bad a job by the runner in a situation like that as I've ever seen.
Jam was poor on that 4th down run and I thought Justice wasn’t great on the 3rd down catch in the 2nd half that came up a yard or so short. Felt like more decisive running could’ve gotten both.
Yep - Justice has to find a way to either make that guy miss or at the very least fall forward. We got exactly what we wanted on that throw and Jalen put it right where it needed to be to let him find a few extra yards. Credit to Allen because it was a great tackle, but you can't just get dropped right there. I don't know what the hell Jam was doing. The hole was there and he just kind of stopped and peeked around and then somebody filled it.
Was yelling at my tv at jam. Put your shoulder down and burst through the hole. Just a serious lack of awareness and something we hadn’t seen from him to that point
I think when the champions club/terrace club etc came along it really shrunk some of the waiting lists
Had to punt. Obviously you want to go for it, but it would have almost been desperation to go for it that deep in your territory.
I hope the defensive guys didn’t need to be given a shitty message after the 2nd half they had. They were bad, they know we were bad, you can’t care about feelings getting hurt.
No I agree they were bad but also saying in game 4 that you basically don’t trust them to get a stop when they played really well all first half doesn’t send the message you’d like for team morale either. With a very young defense and a new staff.
Realistically, if Ryan Williams continues at this pace, and especially after that insane game winning catch and moves after. Do we see him getting a realistic shot at the Heisman? Man imagine? A 17 year old.
Biletnikoff is certainly in play, and will likely come down to he and Smith which is insane in its own right. But the Heisman is Jalen’s to lose, and he ain’t losing it. Next two years though…
What is your favorite team from a watching Bama players in the NFL perspective? Jalen and Smitty on the Eagles is pretty awesome. Used to love watching Tua to Waddle. Gibbs and Jamo on the Lions is awesome.
Pffffffffffffffffft fuck off Ryan, seriously. Readers added context The audio originates from the 2007 D1 Grand Prix series, where the Japanese commentators were reacting to a car crash.
