They won 25 games the last 2 years and made it to the semis both years. Idk what "it" is but I'd take some of it.
the hidden rating that determines how likely a coach is to win the big game. his is above average but not quite there. he may yet win a title or two but that doesn't mean he has it. like ryan day. he doesn't have it but could still win some titles because of where he is. tbqh i don't think any current coach has it except kirby. jury is out on freeman.
Everyone other coach just suck? I said it earlier, Saban has ruined expectations of coaches nationwide. Saban Really good coaches Good coaches Meh Shula
yeah i think theres kirby and then a ton of coaches on about the same level who sometimes get good rng because money. theyre even very good coaches but if i see someone lose and think "well it be like that sometimes" rather than "what the fuck happened there?" then they don't have it. much like sark doesn't have it, ewers doesn't have it either. a coach that did have it would have recognized that and swapped to their qb who does have it.
So basically someone has to be an all-time great with multiple nattys or they "don't have it." Got it.
for me, yes. the it factor is reserved for greats. none of these guys have shown any indication they might be that except for kirby and dabo who spent the last 5 years showing us he actually doesnt have it.
You should just say "they haven't won a natty" instead of "they don't have it." Ed Orgeron, Gene, and Jimbo "had it" at one point, I guess.
they did not have it. like i said, sark could win a title or two and i would still say he doesn't have it. because, well, someone has to win the ship.
You’re talking about the juice and I tend to agree with you. Ryan Day definitely does not have it but Ohio States collective definitely does.
We got three top 100 players. Thats pretty good. Would have liked to of gotten that 5* cherry on top but just go get them in the portal during offseason.
I disagree. If he stays at Texas, he’ll win 2-3 titles at least, and at a soft and dysfunctional place like that, that’s high level. I wish Saban had known he was going to retire in a few years and we had made him HCIW after 2020.
Anyone winning 2-3 titles in the current landscape seems like a bit of a stretch. Hell, I’d put Kirby’s over/under of remaining natties at 1.5.
Yeah I don't see Sark getting 2-3 titles. If he can't get it done right now when they have a massive advantage in NIL & the SEC office giving them favorable schedules it won't get any better going forward. He needs to get 1 in the next 2 years or he may never get one IMO.
Losing all those receivers and RB hurt Sark bad. They did not have game changing skill players this year
Quinn was far and away their biggest issue, and Sark’s stubbornness in not getting Arch more meaningful snaps cost them. Not every coach can make that call, that’s why there’s only on goat
