Ryan Williams Germie Bernard Isaiah Horton Lotzeir Brooks Rico Scott Is one of the best WR groups in the country. And that’s without knowing what Hale, Adams and Mbakwe might give us.
Someone else mentioned this , but I don't love Jam Miller as 1st string RB. I think Dick Young might be substantially better. Jam is multiple tiers beneath the elite backs we had under Saban. He's slow essentially and not that explosive. He's a serviceable 2nd or 3rd string guy. I think the OL blocking well is more important though. I.e. , if the OL blocks, you don't need an elite RB. And with how we've recruited , I can't imagine we don't have multiple elite RBs on the roster.
Will be interesting to see if Dear gets any PT this year. Also, I forgot that we got the little speedster guy Dre Washington out of the portal. Seems like there were a lot of good reports on Daniel Hill coming out of Spring.
3/5 OL returning is usually a pretty good recipe for success. I am not ready to pencil in Proctor as another first round tackle but he is on his way if he improves at the same rate he improved from freshman to sophomore year. Brailsford is one of, if not the best, center in the country. Losing Booker sucks but that transfer from A&M has a lot of experience and Walker is solid too. I am a tad concerned about Wilkin but I don't see how he's any worse than Pritchett last year.
Formby vs South Florida last year was nightmare fuel. You would think he'd progress from there. And I seem to remember him getting a good bit of playing time after that. Also that scheme was tough in general and I don't think having Milroe helped and our coaches didn't help counter that overload blitz.
Speaking of top end NFL WR talent, Brooks is small, but I think he has top 2 round potential based on speed and explosiveness. Or I could have just said he has Waddle vibes.
5-star Gainesville, GA linebacker Xavier Griffin de-commits from USC, immediately sets up Alabama official visit, gets RPM to Alabama from Ben Wolk (UGA 247 guy who almost never misses on Georgia high school kids) https://www.on3.com/news/inside-5-star-lb-xavier-griffin-decommitment-from-usc/ I continue to be shocked at how well this staff recruits
The recruiting has definitely surpassed my expectations. Figured we’d be competitive with this staff but they’re really catching some momentum rn. Now let’s bankroll that into some wins this year and make the playoffs and see what we can do.
We haven’t been the same since Limbaugh left for Vandy. Makes you wonder who the real brains of that run was.
we've got a couple of washed former title winning coaches who need to take notes from saban and patterson
I’m not completely blocked luckily. Maybe 15% open all the time. Closer to maybe 50-60% if I’m wearing a breathing strip. It’s annoying as shit.
I’ve spent so much money on these damn nose strips. They’ve ripped skin off my nose so it’s always raw. Will be happy to be done with that shit too. I’m also doing the turbinate reduction too so I should be breathing in 4k.
it truly is a damn effective drug. am i now required to use it all day everyday? yes, but it's a small price to pay to be able to breathe.
On the bball front… any idea why we seemingly aren’t looking at any PGs? Feel like I’m taking crazy pills here
welcome to the party it is notable that claude had an assist rate that sat between philon and sears last year albeit with a substantially higher turnover rate. i definitely didn't watch them at all so i don't know where those assists came from.
tbh it seems like Oats wants to look more at a point forward to be the secondary handler to Holloway or I’m assuming Wrightsell at times. But I’m assuming he wants to run more shit through a point forward like we did with Herb.
i mean, honestly, just honestly, do we even need a pg on offense? any mfer that gets the rebound is going to push and our half court sets are all pnr or iso which really don't need one either. the 5'10 pg either drives or ends up in the corner, why not just make that dude a 6'6 guy instead? maybe i'm an idiot (yes) but also maybe fuck a pg
