The staff also wanted Shack back, and that was likely a mistake in hindsight. Its time for JQ to move on.
I just can’t, what is he like 24 or 25? And he hurts the team worse than most of the 18 year old guys fresh out of high school.
He ended the year with a really bad game, but JQ was great for most of February and March. Perfectly fine with him back.
Yeah I know he was frustrating at times but I think we’d he kind of crazy to not take him back. One of the best guards in CBB
I see your point, but Rojas was the devil I knew too. Lol in no way am I saying they’re the same person
Some people on Twitter are saying Rylan said something about having news tomorrow. Evidently he was live streaming during the game and was complaining saying nothing ever gets ran for him and stuff. Idk I didn’t see it but possibly get some news tomorrow.
I think Rylan wants to be a high volume shooter like Shack but 1. shack did that because we had no other shooters really on the 22 team. 2. If you want those looks and the volume you have to earn it, through being in the program for more than a year and by showing you can consistently hit a shot when needed.
this is true but he shoots it every time he touches the ball, and yet still complains. When he gets in the game, every single person in the world knows he is shooting it when he first touches it no matter how bad of a shot it is. He seems like a hard guy to keep happy. Everybody thinks they should be playing more but he need to have a little self awareness. And I don't even want to think about his foul at the end of the SDSU game...
Griffen needs to hit the weight room bad. He has a lot of potential but he’s too easily pushed around and falls down too much
That's fair. I do think he is a team player, but he does have some selfish tendencies offensively. His defensive effort is great and I do like his potential. Pretty much every player thinks they should play more and get more shots too, but sometimes you got to realize things are pretty good. He got a lot of playing time on the #1 team in the country as a true freshman and if I had to bet, his shots per minute played ratio has to be tops or near the top of any player on the team. Hard to justify complaints. Plus I'm still bitter about the mental mistake at the end of the game so I am probably being harder on him than he deserves.
That play has garnered a lot of discussion and rightly so. Obviously we weren’t trying to foul in that situation but I would argue that Griffen wasnt either. The way I saw it, he was just playing tight defense trying to create a turnover and the refs were anticipating an intentional foul and called it on some pretty weak contact. Which is obviously hilarious considering how the rest of that game was called
It honestly looked like the ref thought we wanted to foul in that situation so he called it on that account. I need to stop bringing that game up
