Montana Fouts’ stats are wild. She holds a 23-10 record with a 1.44 ERA. It’s criminal how bad our offense is.
My buddy was talking to me about this the other day. His daughter is a power hitter that graduated from Buckhorn when they won back to back state titles. Said she would have killed to play at Bama but couldn't even get a look from Murphy while some other SEC schools at least talked to her. He was firm in his belief that it was a constant with Murphy and how Bama sure could use some offense lately.
I have always loved Richard Young’s enthusiasm for the Tide, but have never been overly impressed by him. Hope he proves me wrong.
Out of curiosity yall have any update on potentially McDonnell? Despite steadying the ship settling for Jackson would be a vey poor move. If there’s any thought of UGA trying to get in there y’all should just pay whatever it takes, guys like McDonnell (top 10 possibly top 5 coach) aren’t on the market all that much.
We haven't heard anything and won't until the season ends. Anything happening behind the scenes is in all likelihood being done with upmost secrecy so that nothing gets out as the team and Jackson have earned a tournament run free of anything but baseball talk.
Five-star Alabama quarterback commit Julian Sayin earned "Alpha Dog" honors on Day 1 of Steve Clarkson's QB retreat, according to 247Sports. The Carlsbad (Calif.) product had an impressive showing, coming off recently earning an Elite 11 Finals invite next month. 247Sports' Greg Biggins broke down Sayin's performance: "If we had to pick an overall Top Performer for today, it would have to be Carlsbad (Calif.) quarterback and Alabama commit Julian Sayin. Sayin was really impressive in every drill and even some of the college counselors were commenting that, ‘this kid looks different.’ We just saw Sayin at the San Diego Super 7 a week ago so it wasn’t a surprise to see him once again ripping balls all over the field. We’ve said it before but it bearsr repeating, in the ’24 class, he looks like the guy most ready to step in and play early in college. He flashed the quickest release, was the most accurate and showed plenty of arm strength. He throws a very tight ball, can get it out from multiple arm angles and is just as comfortable throwing outside the pocket as he is taking a classic drop or throwing out of the gun. He throws with advanced timing and anticipation and just has a great all around feel for playing the position. Physically, he’s starting to fill out as well and has put on good weight this off-season and he’s throwing with more velocity as a result." Sayin is ranked the No. 2 quarterback and the No. 11 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
