I like Leons.
tonight or tomorrow
See you in a little bit
Ah well you're missing the best deal in town but for tonight or tomorrow, the darling, ordinary, rappahanock. I'd say 167 raw but the wait is always a bitch
I love kwei fei so much
What place is this?
This isn't Coots & Taters IMO
The icon should be changed. Charleston clearly a Clemson town.
Anybody getting tickets for High Water Festival in April? Music lineup looks good to quite good
I went to the first two but I have a wedding that weekend
What's up with that park? Is the setup cool?
Yeah, it's really nice. Shits expensive but the park itself is great
Yeah, when I got to the price page it was more than I was expecting. I like a bunch of those bands though. Thinking about it
The festival itself didn't really bother me with the price. But the 11+ dollar drinks are a little much when you're there all day. Unnecessary
planning on being back in town for a week over christmas. what is the thread's consensus on best strictly seafood restaurant in town these days?
167 raw, ordinary, Bowens island, darling. Heard great things about chubby fish but havent been
Everyone needs to go to kwei fei
And if you include sushi in strictly seafood, sushi wa izakaya
Tried Husk last night for the first time
Was as good as expected
Damn just saw hassie passed away this weekend. RIP
And wild wings Mount pleasant is closing
Fire at Rodney Scott. Sounds like it was contained pretty quickly
Yeah. They just lost like 350 pounds of meat and there was damage to the pit, light smoke damage and some light roof damage. They were open after they put it out, just were low on food for a bit
Will be in town late tomorrow. Can’t wait. Was looking at little Jack’s tavern for dinner tomorrow... Good place for late dinner? Also any suggestions for Wednesday night dinner?
I like LJT. I have only eaten there for lunch and had drinks in the evening. For lunch the burger was top notch and i enjoy going there for drinks with my wife in the evening. Its a bit of a smaller spot, but i like the atmosphere and the food is good.
Burger at LJT is amazing. Having a drink at prohibition. Amazing drink list. Headed to Halls after this.
I got a workout in at F45 in Mount Pleasant. I work out there in California. Highly recommend. They also have a location in West Ashley and are opening up downtown.
Halls on a Wednesday. What a scene for midweek.
Is Charleston a good place to visit in June? My wife will 7 months pregnant.
It will be hot. So that's up to you
Looks like mid 80s, high humidity in the morning that tapers off as the day goes on.
What would be a good area to stay in?
It will be hot and swampy as fuck. I think June is fine, it's not july or August but if you're coming from somewhere that isnt hot or humid it will be rough
What are you looking for? Walkability or beach or what?
Adjacent to the beach is our preference. Walkability to downtown is secondary.
If you stay downtown you're like a 15 minute drive to sullivans island. You could stay in mount pleasant and be a few minutes closer but then you lose proximity to downtown walking. If you're rich, you could always Airbnb on sullivans itself
Stay downtown imo
Downtown between like coming and east bay east/west and north/south between Columbus and Calhoun or so
Trying to save a little money since we're expecting a kid shortly after that. How's public transportation? We are debating renting a car if we don't need to.
Basically non existent. Uber and Lyft are plentiful
Ark, I'm a native Charlestonian so I feel dumb asking your advice. I am surprising my wife this weekend with a party bus for around 20 of our friends for her 40th. We are going to start out in the Park Circle area but want to head downtown. My wife doesn't like beer but doesn't mind a brewery as long as they have wine. Any ideas on 2-3 stops for us? Thanks in advance.
Commonhouse in park circle is always fun and they have wine. The Edmunds oast brewery has a full bar and is a great spot. Revelry If you haven't done that or even if you have
She likes wine, so we are probably going to start out at Accent on Wine in PC. We've done Revelry before and loved it so I might see about it. Never been to Edmunds but see you post about it alot. I'll check it out. Thanks man.
Accent is right next door to commonhouse so that's easy to do if it looks fun. They usually have a band and such, depending on the time. Revelry should have music too. Have fun
Accent isn’t the only wine bar right there. Also stems and skins. Downtown has bin 152 on lower king.
Edmunds Oast is fun
It is but He is talking about Edmunds oast brewing company.
If I were in Charleston, I’d have been there last night.
Not sure if the Instagram is showing but it’s from Edmunds Oast.
Posted the above in the wrong thread. Lewis is so freaking good.
we got one of those for Christmas and it was great, pretty reasonably priced too. Had a good bit left over
