Conte is a fantastic manager. The boards inability to surround hazard with any talent in the forward positions is to blame. Other shortcomings as well but our inability to put or scoring chances in the back of the net is why we are where we are.

I liked Conte but I think the shift at the top with teams who are extremely aggressive offensively, made it almost a must to make a change. We ended up having to play too negative, one being a lack of support from the board, but two with our midfield outside of Kante, we were swiss cheese in the back. At least with a counter attack, we could pack the middle and use Hazard's and Willian's speed to lead the break. Also, Giroud was the perfect signing as a hold up 9. The Morata experiment has been such a disaster it might cost us 2 managers if it doesnt change this window.

Some good news. His loan started off poorly but he’s been playing really well as of late. sounds like Milan will trigger the option to buy and we will get 90% of the fee back that we paid for him. Will help fund the big purchases we need to make

This is the part that everyone in the media seems to just pretend isn’t true. Chelsea has some minor problems in defense and midfield but the major problem is at RW and ST. This stat is incredible. We have missed more big chances than everyone except city and Liverpool have created.

Imagine if we had bought Pierre emerick aubamayang instead of morata. We need a director of football badly.

With the results today we really need a win. Have to keep up with Arsenal. Look like it will be us vs them for the 4th spot. My money would be on the team capable of putting it into the back of the net at this point.

Big 3 points. Not pretty though. Pedro and Hudson-Odoi both getting subbed off injured could prove very interesting. Especially with RLC supposedly hurt. Not ideal.

The twitter mob that is already turning on Sarri is ridiculous and I wish there was more pushback from some of the more analytical minded journalists that follow the team for a living.

Probably a pretty strong overlap with the fucks that cant go a game without anti-semetic chanting. Cunts.

Get used to more Willian. Hudson-Odoi likely out for at least the next match and Pedro at least the next 10 days. I’d still be surprised if we saw giroud start. If RLC is healthy I’d much rather bring him into the side at wing and keep kovacic in the lineup against palace.

When Willian and giroud start and all we have is Morata on the bench we are in deep trouble

3 points is 3 points but with giroud now hurt we have to start Morata and have no attacking players on the bench unless someone gets healthy quickly.

Holy fuck we need a striker ASAP but five points clear in fourth and just behind city and Spurs is better than I would have thought after Wolves.

Both disallowed Giroud goals show what happens when you have a proper forward in this system.

Such a massive change from our previous teams. Just sucks that we don’t have the proper attacking talent to take advantage of our chances

Should give us some breathing room if we want to spend some money in January. Still kind of scary that with a £113m profit on player sales we only had a total profit of £62m. High wages and some incredibly poor transfers (looking at you Danny drinkwater) are what holding us back though. Will have money to spend in January/summer.

If you sign him for that and sell Hudson-Odoi for half of that it’s a bad move. If you sign him for that and sell Willian for half of that it’s a good move.

Our team needs goals though from attack more than anything and I’m not sure he’s the guy to get that. We shall see.

Making this kind of signing in the way we did makes me think that the transfer ban shit might be real.

That's a lot of money, but I'm glad the board are showing some ambition. Just happy the time of Pedro/ Willian is nearing its conclusion.

Concerned about the pressure on him and the fans expectations. Not sure if this move was available before the season but taking the big offers for Willian and his sale paying for Pulisic would've been ideal.

Sounds like we wanted to in summer but got on it too late and they didn’t want it to happen. Obviously buying him and selling Willian for more than he is worth would have been nice. Not sure how much you can get for Willian at this point.

The amount of journalists who have come out today and said pulisic is a replacement for Pedro/Willian and not CHO shows me that it’s a coordinated effort by Chelsea to put that out there. At least the club seems to want to keep him. Getting him to agree to a contract extension is a whole different thing but at least they aren’t already looking to cash in.

If an attacker gets hurt or needs to come out we are in such bad shape that Emerson is our second most likely player on the bench to play in the forward 3 after RLC. Not one true wing/striker option on the bench.

Willian grows concrete on his feet in the final third. I’m convinced of it. Weighted passes are terrible. Touches are terrible. Box to box his work rate is superb. Too bad his feet aren’t. He would do well in La Liga.

I don’t think RLC is playing. You mean Barkley? Willl be interesting to see when we sub. I think you need to try RLC on for Willian at some point. Maybe try cesc for Barkley and try him in that role against a team like Southampton? Injuries killing us.
