Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. Chelsea keeper Petr Cech may miss Premier League start Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is set to miss the start of the 2010-11 Premier League season after tearing his right calf muscle in training on Tuesday. Cech is expected to be out for a month, during which Chelsea play three pre-season games and the Community Shield against Manchester United on 8 August. The Blues open their Premier League title defence against West Brom on 14 August and face Wigan a week later. The 28-year-old Czech missed a month with a similar problem last season. He fell in agony after taking a cross during Chelsea's Champions League defeat at Inter Milan in February, but returned in time to help them win a maiden league and FA Cup Double. Cech also tore his right calf muscle in a Champions League match against Schalke 04 in November 2007. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is able to call upon Portuguese Henrique Hilario or former England Under-20 keeper Ross Turnbull - a free transfer from Middlesbrough in 2009 - as a replacement. Cech, a £7m signing from Rennes in 2004, is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world. His career almost ended in October 2006 when he required surgery for a skull fracture after a collision with Reading's Stephen Hunt. Cech was out for three months and has since worn a protective headguard during games.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. really surprised chels didnt have a topic already
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. We do, but its shit tier. Pretty much the official anti-chelsea thread.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. What do Chelsea fans think about a 25 million euro Neymar bid? I think they should wait till next summer to throw this kind of money at him
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. Essien on how he felt in the Crystal Palace warmup game.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. I dont expect him to cost less next summer.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. And there will be a lot more suitors. Latest news is that his dad is starting to apply pressure to Santos because he wants him to move to a European club.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. 25 M is a lot of green for a 18 yr old, why would Santos hold out anyway? it's not like their rolling in the dough, win win for both parties IMO
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. Could be a blessing in disguise if it means we stop shopping Carvalho
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. 25M is quite a bit to throw at Neymar right now but I'm not completely opposed to the move. Was at Stamford Bridge yesterday, can't wait for the season to start. I had tickets for the Crystal Palace-Chelsea friendly on Saturday but I ended up going to Ireland. Kinda disappointed I missed out on it even though it was Essien, Cech, Mikel, and a bunch of reserves.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*--Droggy and Cole: not for sale. 2-1 down at the half against Ajax. http://atdhe.net/21425/watch-ajax-vs-chelsea
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today for those at work http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/summer-friendlies/2010/ajax-chelsea-392561.html
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today According to the Daily Mail, we have put in a £27 million bid for David Luiz.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today So my guess is this means Carvalho will be sold. I like this, Luiz is a beast.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today I'm not familiar with Luiz, who does he play for?
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today Benfica with Ramires. They named him player of the year in Portugal last season.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today can you post the lineup yall used vs ajax. (both teams if possible thanks)
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Ajax Friendly today Chelsea: Turnbull, Clifford, Bruma, Van Aanholt, Bertrand, Obi Milkel, Essien, Matic, McEachran, Di Santo, Sturridge Ajax: Stekelenburg, Alderweireld, Anita, Oleguer, Vertonghen, De Jong, Zeegelaar, Enoh, Lindgren, Sarpong, Eriksen.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Which ones are yall going to steal from us?
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right nvm, saw manster and thought city automatically. Yes all brazilians are belong to us.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right I had him in mind with the topic title Ramires Luiz Neymar who is next?
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is set to miss next month's Community Shield clash with Manchester United and their Premier League opener after undergoing groin surgery. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/24072010/58/premier-league-drogba-doubt-opener.html
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right The owner of Manchester City Football Club
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Must be the Russian way of spelling. Know where I can get some aluminium? I hear people in Russia die for it.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right not sure what Benfica is doing, I don't think any CB is worth more than 30 million. should have just got Kjaer for cheaper who has better upside anyways
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Thats absurd that they would reject that. They could buy any other young CB they wanted with that money.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Its because its Chelsea, they know they can weasel some more money out of us since we have deep pockets
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right This is probably true. If Abramovich wants him badly enough, he'll dig deeper and Benfica knows that. In some lesser news, reserve Jack Cork is going on loan to Swansea and Wolves, Sporting Lisbon, Sevilla, and Malaga are interested in Michael Mancienne.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Kakuta played great against Spain in the U19s yesterday, he needs PT this season
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Eintracht Frankfurt 2, Chelsea 1 Ivanovic gave them a penalty in the 82nd. Lampard scored off the bench.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Mourinho is starting to be a faggot over Cole.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Starting to get antsy for a signing ...not trilled by Yossi, although hes not a terrible buy for what he is( a bench warming relief player). Ramires I haven't watched enough to be excited about, Benfica are dicking us around on David Luiz. Torres is staying at Liverpool or at least "committed" himself to the club whatever the fuck that means. Aguero is Aguero and a pipe dream. Kaka seems unlikely unless we swap him for Ashley which would be a horrible move, imo. Neymar move seems to be possible but more smoke then fire. I was hoping for a Big signing this off season, and while one may still come, It's starting to feel less and less likely. Now I'd be as happy as the rest of you if some of the Youngsters step up and really start showing they're ready for the 1st team, But one big time buy would have been nice to say we won the double but we want more and are willing to spend for it.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right I'm happy with the offseason. It would have been great to get Aguero or El Nino, but the club seems dedicated to giving Sturridge and Kakuta 1st team time. Kakuta will be an absolute star. Benayoun and Ramires were solid signings as well. Benayoun will be a great substitute and Ramires slides in over Mikel as the second holding midfielder and may start on the right. Not sure if I like that but King Carlo has always had Mikel in the doghouse. We have great depth all over the pitch and are primed for another season full of hardware.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right I think Carlo doesnt like Mikel because he isnt a super intelligent player, just a bruiser. And Im a big Sturridge fan. Having the best English players will be very important, and is how Man U and Chelsea have been able to be top 2 in the league consistently.
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right whats your preferred starting line up? I like a 4-3-3 with Cech Bran Alex Terry Cole Essien Lampard Malouda Anelka Drogba Kalou
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Code: Cech Cole Ricky Terry Unibrow Bison Malouda Ramires Lamps Anelka Drogba
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right so I have already completely accepted that Lukaku will eventually be at Chelsea and will torch Arsenal for 3 goals every time we play him, I dont know how they cloned Drogba but it reallllly sucks
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right i just read cech is out for the community shield?
Re: *Official Chelsea Thread*-- Buying Brazilians left and right Carlo said we will sign two more players (one of them being Ramires). The other one better be Neymar.
