It was nice to start the season against them. We probably picked up some confidence after our tepid pre-season - although I suspect the Chelsea players weren't as concerned as the media with their form.

Where we really need cover is right back, It's pretty obvious to me that Ivanovic should be starting there, I'm not sure what Carlo's fascination with Paulo is but he just doesn't get the job done. The game was already well done by the 60th but Paulo gets caught out and Thomas from WBA got the better of him several times in the first half wih nothing but pace. When Paulo is in there it seems the everything runs through the Cole Malouda combo there is nothing to worry about on the right, Bran provides better defending and more forward runs. I know he is viewed as a Center Back but you have to get your best players on the field and he played RB well enough last year to make the PFAs 11. If he is going to insist on playing Mikel, Essien, and Lampard together and clogging the center of the pitch the we have to have a threat on the right. I swear Bosingwa is dead and they didn't tell us. Maybe Ramires will stay out right and provide some help by replacing Mikel.

The two clubs and Kakuta agreed that his contract "wasnt valid", thus relieving Chelsea and Kakuta of any wrongdoing. We payed them around a million pounds for their trouble. Things are sounding decent on the Neymar front this morning but it looks like we will have longer to wait to find out his decision. In that article about Ramires he says he will play with Lamps, Essien, and Mikel? sorry but for me it's either Ramires or Mikel I don't want to see Carlo trotting out both of them in the Diamond again when the 4-3-3 is by far our best formation especially when we are playing the weaker sides in the league.

Would keep the goals allowed down, I think if Mikel is benched for Ramires we will allow more as Mikel has done great covering for the back four. Must suck to be Neymar. Everyone who is somebody in Brazil is asking him to stay, and everyone close to him and the money is telling him to go.
