I'm not upset by that. I want him to succeed for several reasons, but we have zero fucking tactical plan and zero signs of an upward trajectory. Completely unacceptable to be worrying about European qualification in a wide open season with this roster.

It’s hard for me to believe this is all on the coaches and not about tactics. You have pulisic, CHO and Werner. All lightning fast players. But we don’t play them through. Werner makes the runs also. We just never make the pass. We pass back instead. That’s not all on the players.

This is what is most frustrating to me about watching us. I feel like I don't even know that much about tactics and it's still obvious that we're not using our players to their strengths

Another side effect of not even being able to loan out your fringe players for pennys on the dollar. So many senior players that don’t play.

This has been a problem for a while now. Prior quotes are from when we crushed Palace despite not really being incisive. I know we had defensive problems to remedy but the underlying offensive issues remain and we’re seemingly back to having miles of space between our midfield and defense.

We should bring Cesc back to just stand 35 yards from goal and pick out runners.

havertz and mount have shown they can play these passes. I just think it’s tactical issues. I think our tactics are shit. We still have all the same players that did better last season and added a much improved LB, a better CB, a better GK. It’s shit tactics and using players incorrectly. Not saying this is a title winning team but this team is 9 points better if they were doing the right things and players were played in better positions while used to their strengths

I doubt he is someone we look at. More and more I think frank survives until summer unless results are embarrassing and we lose another 3-4 straight in which case there will be a caretaker manager.

tuchel is hard to deal with and has conte vibes and the board would prefer not to deal with someone like that. More options open in the summer

I loved the move to field a strong lineup to build a bit of confidence, but feel like we’re actually losing it given the poor performance.

We still just look so limp offensively. Wings are consistently winning their 1 v 1s but there’s no plan after they do.

Havertz and Werner are so low on confidence. It’s hard to watch. I’m glad they’re playing in a game like this but I wish frank would have tried a new formation. It seems like he has decided that the players will make 433 work or we will have a new manager in the summer or sooner. Ziyech is the only player who seems willing to take a risk. Everyone else just looks like they are playing only the worst aspects of sarriball. The sideways passes and refusal to make the pass into traffic and see what happens or take a shot from outside the box. Havertz took one that was blocked and then Emerson sliced the rebound. At least they tried something New.

Havertz to Werner!!! That could be a big goal for confidence of both of them. Still you see that the only player taking chances and making the play is ziyech. It’s almost like the team has that deference that they had for hazard where everyone stands around waiting for only that player to do something.

Havertz has basically been parked in the box the entire second part of the half. Feel we’re much closer to a 4-2-2-2 than a 4–3-3 at the moment.

It’s all ziyech. Frank needs to sub ziyech out. Give the others a chance to create without him and make sure ziyech doesn’t get hurt.

I’m not expecting the other players to make those passes as well or to play them successfully as often as ziyech does. I would just like to see guys like havertz, mount and the fullbacks play those type of balls more.

those were the runs that Werner made when he was playing as a LW. No one would ever even try the pass though. That’s also a run that pulisic made when he got to chelsea and no one would pass it. Pulisic needed to do it himself to take the step because the midfield just won’t make the long pass. Hard to tell if it’s players or tactics. My guess is some of both.

Agreed, for the players we have what it boils down to for me is that this team looks far more dangerous playing 30 yard through balls than 10 yard dinks and dunks holding the ball. It’s not as if players aren’t making runs, it’s just that it seems the calculus always leans toward keeping the ball over committing to an attack at the goal

pulisic over Hudson-odoi and playing Jorginho are big calls. Rudiger has been solid this year and I have less of a problem with that one. Zouma has had a few check outs mentally recently and rudiger hasn’t really had a chance playing next to Silva.

Pressure on pulisic today. Hard to justify him over CHO on current form. Frank giving him every chance to find last years form at the expense of the player who is playing better.

We have 2 of the best counter attackers in the league in pulisic and Werner and one of the best long passers in ziyech who can drop deep and play final balls on the counter but we slow things down and pass sideways whenever we win the ball back. I still have no idea what Frank’s plan for attack is. If we hadn’t turned into a great team on set pieces we would be below arsenal right now.

It really bums me out but Dave looks really washed. He’ll get 0 help from Ziyech too which will pull Mount deeper completely neutering our midfield.

we win the ball back and Jorginho looks up and no one is there or making a run so he passes to Kovacic. Someone makes a run but kovacic has no vision and never makes a risky pass that could play someone in. Liverpool plays those passes a lot. They wanted pulisic and Werner because they make those runs. We don’t make the passes. Jorginho rarely looks for that pass. No one else ever looks for it. That’s a combination of bad players and poor tactics from the manager. If he worked On it and demanded it we could make it Happen.
