Barkley’s best position is the top of a midfield 3 to add some attacking runs into the box. He’s horrendous as a winger.

Hey at least we got 100m euros for a broken hazard on an expiring contract.

 

Check is already (essentially) cashed for this season RE Europe. Getting CL football for next season (both financially and from a recruitment standpoint) allows the club to build a team that won’t get nuked like that at home in the future.
