Normal lineup except cesc for kante who isn't on the bench either so he isn't fit but Luiz starts. Bench is interesting. No batshuayi as loftus cheek and chalobah both make the bench along with 3 defenders and Willian. Conte expects a 2+ goal lead and some bus parking subs based on the bench
definitely. He's been so critical in this formation and doesn't get enough credit for his part in our turnaround.
Damn absolute domination. Middlesbrough suck, we are at home and we are really close to the title so I expected a lopsided game but I can't remember the last premier league game where we dominated this much. We could be up 8-0.
After the 0-2 loss to United I was getting concerned about our ability to close out the season and wrap up the title, the response since then and way the team has stepped up to lock down the title has been impressive. Also I'm loving Terry's instagram post after each game congratulating the players and each goal scorer, we're going to miss his leadership
Matic coming into some form here late in the season is an interesting development for depth for European football next season. What are we thinking the midfield depth looks like next year?
Ideally Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah get more time next year. If we stick with a 3-4-3 Kenedy seems like a decent fit backing up Alonso. I've only paid attention to transfer talk with regard to strikers or center backs.
I doubt Kenedy does anything. I expect him to be loaned or sold. As for loftus-cheek, chalobah, ake and musonda it is a complete unknown at this point. The latter 3 have shown glimpses on loans and the first 3 have shown glimpses in a Chelsea shirt. Conte has had 6 months with ake and musonda and the full year with Ruben and chalobah. At this point I think he knows what they are and can make an educated assessment on what their next step is. I think that goes a long way to determining what our transfer policy will look like. If costa leaves and we loan batshuayi we have to bring in a top striker. Even if JT leaves and zouma get loaned out we bring Christensen back and don't necessarily need another CB. We do need a backup LWB and backup RWB. The biggest item going into summer though is what formation do we play? Conte played 3-4-2-1 most of the season and flashed in some 3-5-2. He played 3-5-2 at juve and Italy but he has historically built the team to the players. What formation he wants to use will be key. If go 3-5-2 we will still need another CM but I'm not sure we would need another striker. We could have RLC/Tammy as a backup to the new striker and Willian/Pedro to backup hazard as the second striker or to go 3-4-2-1 if we are chasing a game late
Took a half day from work and I'm heading to a bar here in tampa that shows the games. Already a few beers deep. Let's fucking go!
I saw it live couldn't believe the announcers completely missed it tooo good thing every single West Brom cross has been horrible
Always frustrating playing these Pulis teams, could almost take off a CB for Willian. Good finishing Costa or Pedro puts away one of those chances they've had.
Classic west brom. VERY tough to break down when they park the bus. We have had a few chances though. I doubt they score but we are going to need some cesc magic
