We're not abandoning shit on him but it's a worrying sign especially since he's missed those chances before. Costa missed plenty of chances but he converted a ton and surprisingly not with his head. Confidence is everything with strikers and on any non-Azpi provided chance he seems to have zero confidence.

Morata is in his first season starting game in and game out lets give him some time. He is very low on confidence right now but he provides a lot to the team. He is his own worst enemy because he creates a lot of amazing chances for himself that he then bottles. I still think he needs to be given some time to adjust. Honestly the flopping pisses me off more long term than the misses. He needs to learn to stay up
What are people’s thoights on Barkley. I was pretty clearly against it in the summer. With the Crazy fees being paid out though, getting him at £15 million presents great value depending on his contract. We clearly need more creativity if we want to play 3-5-2. He should help us this year. My main concern is what does that mean for RLC moving forward? Regardless he should help us this year and help us as fixtures get jammed with cups and champions league
These are basically my thoughts. 15M for a young creative homegrown midfielder is a solid deal and he'll have a chance to give solid minutes in fixture jams.
I like the move a lot. Low risk, high reward. Still hope we'll target another attacking player or two but nice to get some business done early in the window and on the cheap.

He wasn't busy at all until like 50th minute. His best save was in the 80ish minute on a Zappacosta rebound off a corner. Other than that we didn't threaten. Service inside the box was horrendous and we were lousy and disjointed in the final third. He was composed on the ball but his long ball distribution was probably his biggest weakness. He also kicked a few goal kicks out of bounds.
