Yeah you’re running the hurry up, get up there quick on 3rd and sneak it, I’m not sure we have an under center play.
At this point I’m not sure the line could block that long or Mitch wouldn’t get happy feet and take off running before the D backed up.
Outside of Robinson this wide out core is not very good. Doesn’t help the few times someone gets open they drop the ball or Mitch just doesn’t see them.
What the fuck were they doing, trying to give Aaron Rodgers a century to score three points even if they did score?
Shaheen needs cut tomorrow, dudes a bust never done shit. Sign Bunting back. Defense can’t have any of this put on them, they hold Rodgers to 10 points while being on the field nonstop is pretty impressive. Our schedule is pretty brutal this year, if the o-line doesn’t look better next week Miller and Chubb will light up us up.
Thinking on my way into work....If Trubisky has about 3 more games like last night the Chicago media buzzards will be swarming by mid season. Kids about to get the whole Chicago Bears QB experience if the offense doesn’t pick it up.
That defense deserves a championship, but Trubisky has never been impressive, and last night was one of the worst performances by an NFL QB that I can remember. The OL didn't help but he was missing throws that first year collegiate starters miss.
Why is nagy getting such a pass and its all on mitch? He wasnt a world beater by any stretch but we ran the ball 15 times last night,15! Cohen and Montgomery had 0 carries in the second half that i can remember. We kept mitch in the pocket. We never moved him like rollouts or playaction but once. Mitch actually looked decent in the 4th when we had no choice but to open it up(kinda like philly).
Nagy has read too many of his own press clippings. He went all out to protect his "genius" gameplans by not getting his very inexperienced QB reps in the preseason.
I was against not playing the guys in preseason for this very reason. Mitch and the OL need game reps
I’ll agree Nagy doesn’t get a free pass, the game plan was as shitty if not more than Mitch. My question is how much does Nagy have to protect Mitch? He made some terrible throws, missed open WR’s. I’d think Nagy would hammer the run game if that was the case though and he was trying to protect Mitch. You score 3 points and there’s a shit ton of blame to go around on offense, it doesn’t stop at Mitch but nobody can feel real confident with him after last night, he didn’t look good.
Which is beyond dumb. He’s our most dynamic player, he’s more of a matchup problem coming out of the backfield then lining up at wr
He also hit wr where the wr couldn’t get his feet in bounds that would’ve been good gains. If nagy feels the need to protect Mitch I think the runs would more and passes less. Does he need protection though? When we open the offense like our last 2 games Mitch plays well
Mitch played awful and should have thrown about 4 ints but I still don’t get Nagy’s gameplan. Mike Davis doesn’t need to play as much.. you have to give more carries to Montgomery and Cohen. Use Mitch’s legs! He has to either get the ball out quick or roll out of the pocket.
Nagy was awful, that was the worst game I've seen from him. I'm not a big you have to run the ball guy, but why not fucking run the ball more. He also made some awful calls on third down. Finally, stop playing Mike Davis so fucking much.
I wasn’t very impressed with Patterson or Davis. Those are big signings in the offseason and looked meh. Gameplan and throwing 30 consecutive pass plays was brutal. Compound that with Mitch being bad. Nagy forcing it last night. Not surprised as he’s from Andy Reid coaching tree and Andy does this shit all the time. Just to look a bit on the bright side. Thought Floyd had the best game of his career. If that’s the guy we get all year momma mia.
Not good. Bears were a pretty healthy team last season. Let’s hope it’s short term. Burton isn’t going to go either I would imagine
Montgomery is such a stud. Would be cool if he got the chance to make that first guy miss 5-10 yards downfield instead of 3 yards in the backfield.
