As much as I’d like to see Trevathan resigned, he’s still got a lot left in the tank, I don’t see how you resign him and not have Kwitkoski play.
Kwitkoski is very limited in the pass game. And at times can’t get to the QB and all of that is because his lack of speed. He’s a great sub LB but he’s not a long term solution at the position.
He leads the league with pressures per game. He's been fine this year. This garbage narrative that he's not playing well needs to stop. The sacks will come.
He has been fine, but he’s the third best player in the entire league. His job isn’t to be fine it’s to make huge plays.
He's hit like 80% of his FG attempts. That's top 20 in the NFL this year. I don't know what you expected from a K we invested very little capital in.
Our run D has been trash since Jacobs tore us up. I know it’s the same time Hicks went down but it shouldn’t be this bad.
McVays watched the tapes and knows you can drive this DLine 5 yards off the ball easily. Gurleys been crap this year and is averaging 7+ ypc
I really don’t get you guys. Bears statically have one of the best defense in the league. Top 10 in points against and yards against.
Right at 10 in yards...13th in pass yards, 6th in Rush. About to move down that rushing list after tonight.
living in a world of constant negativity is not a good look. calling for the firing of a DC when the defense has performed at a top 10 level is just bad. bitching for the sake of bitching is what this thread has turned into.
It’s only a matter of time till Kwiatkowski gets exposed but it’s nice seeing someone trying to blow up anything close to him. Also Quan is flying to the ball like last year which is nice.
we could do without the gate keeper bullshit in this thread. It’s pretty obvious that something isn’t right with the defense. We can’t stop the run nor put a lot of pressure on the QB.
Sorry if legit stats don't fit the narrative of cry baby posting the majority of this thread loves to partake in. Yeah something is wrong with the run defense. We lost an elite DL and we miss Amos in the run game.
The goal in the offseason is to find a legit #2 WR to pair with Robinson. Also find a pass catching TE. Should be some good prospects in the draft for both issues.
And schematically it looks like we’re over aggressive, which I pointed out in the preseason it would be a worry with Pagano’s aggressive style of blitzing. We get burnt too often with misdirection and screens since Fangio left.
He's an ultra aggressive play caller. It looks different but largely it's been effective. Bears defense has been on the field a ton this year vs last year. Its only natural for them to take a step back. They also haven't created turnovers at the clip we did last year but that wasn't a realistic target for this season.
There’s going to be a lot of needs to fill this offseason, I’d hate to have to rank them. I’d probably put O-line #1 since nothing really matter after that.
