If shit goes sideways this season where going to be looking at a whole rebuild/retool and that means Lawrence, Fields and if anyone other guys pop up.
We’re not going to be anywhere high enough to grab Lawrence, Fields. Those 2 are top 3 picks, and worst case we’re probably 6-10.

We really should've taken Hamler instead of Kmet and still took Mooney later. Ridley fucking blows. Such a shitty pick. He didn't fit an athletic model that Pace targets and he had very little impact on the college level. I also don't see Ginn as much of a asset.
Fuck the athletic model bullshit. Phil Emery liked to use that term as a shield to justify his dumb moves. That's what Pace is doing.
Pace is doing what? I haven't seen him comment on Riley Ridley. Pace seems to like above average athletes with good production. Look back at his draft classes. He's not a full on Analytical GM but he definitely has a player build. What i'm saying is Ridley went against that type. Yet he still selected him. A player like Ridley has such a low percentage chance of succeeding in the NFL because 1) He's a below average athlete 2) He wasn't productive in college. To think a guy like that is all of a sudden going to turn the corner at the highest level of the sport is silly. It was a shit pick at the time and a shit pick now. I never liked Ridley as a prospect and that's well before he was selected by the Bears.
Miller and Mooney have never proven anything, I’ll wait to pass judgment. A washed up ginn is still probably an upgrade.
I'm not if I should be depressed in thinking Ginn will be our #2 wide out. Or happy because if that is the case were going to be landing a top 5 pick and thus drafting Lawrence or Fields I still think Miller is pretty talented. I love Mooney. I hope a washed out Ginn isn't truly our #2 WR because were fucked
This is my hope on Miller. Plus the 2nd half of the season he started to put up good numbers. If you extended that out for a full season your looking at very good #2 WR stats.
Bad part is I think Gipson is a centerfield type safety, E-Jack is gonna be a box safety next year most likely. I’m buzzed and I’m really hoping we play this fall, I’m 42 years old and been a bears fan since 85.... they’re my happy place in the fall
The Bears have upgraded its DL and DB group. I think we see a bump in turnovers this season if or when it’s played.
It all depends on the QB. If we try to start the season with Mitch, we will eventually crash and burn. Who knows if we can recover. maybe Foles can start hot? 3-1 looks achievable
Unless Mitch takes a step forward ( I don’t see it happening) the upgrade to Foles is not significant enough imho. We shall see. The defense will win us a game or two we shouldn’t. I had Tampa as a easy W before the offseason got kicked off. Now not so much.
I think if we had a Lovie Smith type coach that said “let’s run the fucking ball and play defense” this is a 10 win team. Who knows what offensive approach Nagy is going with this year....
I know people loved to shit on Nagy and he did have his issues. This team had some really big issues protecting the QB and running the ball. It also had a offense built around a pass catching TE and we had none last year. They addressed the TE spot so you can’t fault them on that. Nagy is putting a ton of faith in that OL coach hire. Season is going to hinge on if we can even run the ball if Nagy wanted to.
Nagy has never shown he’s committed to running the ball. Even with Howard he wanted someone more able to be a receiver out of the backfield. Hope the new infusion in the coaching room helps him evolve his willingness to stick with the run.
