Pagano sucks. Gave him last year as an adjustment, but the D has noticeably been worse under him.
It’s a good deal if we get the first two year of Cohen and not last year. Looks like the first two years are guaranteed so we can get out after the 2022 season.
Kmet isn’t a pass catching TE. Not yet. And he wasn’t drafted to be a featured TE. People shouldn’t be surprised he’s not getting targets.
it’s why at the time it wasn’t a good selection. Draft had better players at other positions of need available and you could’ve taken a similar TE later in the draft like the kid out of Purdue who went in the 4th round iirc.
This thread is brutal to follow over the last two years. They bitch about everything under the sun. They despise Nagy and Pace. It’s what they do.
Pagano isn’t as aggressive but the team defense was top 10 with losing Amos and Hicks and playing the corpse of Prince at CB. They lost a lot of talent last year to FA and injury.
This year they really only improved at CB and Edge but took a huge loss with Goldman. I don’t hate Pagano I just wish with a lead he would be more agressive. He allows the defense to play bend don’t break and that’s not a style most fans like.
Bears current odds to make the playoffs is 64%
doesn’t matter how you get them. Just get them Ws.
We’ve looked like doodoo for 5/8 quarters this year and are still 2-0. 4 really winnable games coming up before the schedule gets real.
ATL looking like they can put up points, but also gives up a ton. Gonna need Mitch to play decent and Mack/Quinn to get home....
I figure ole chuck will use a base defense only rushing 3 and sometimes 4, playing soft coverage behind them.. allowing Ryan to throw for 450 and 3tds..
Speaking of Mack...
Maaaan that sucks :(
I’m going to watch Brian’s Song this weekend and ugly cry through the entire thing. I’m gutted.
They always said the real Brian’s Song was Payton and Shuey, said Sayers and Pic weren’t as tight as the movie portrayed.
Bears signed Daniel McCullers from Pittsburgh’s practice squad, 6’7” 350lb DT.
Bears defense has really struggled on 1st and 2nd down. If he can be an upgrade over Jenkins that could be a nice pickup.
We need more depth at ILB and DT
Jenkins tore his thumb ligament I guess and could miss time.
Hoge and Jahns broke down that first interception from Sunday. Said ARob cut the route of 2 yards short versus other times that play was ran in game and that’s why the ball seemed to get to him a tick late. Said we ran the same play the very next drive but Mooney was in ARob spot and the coverage was exactly the same but he cut at the proper spot and the ball was right on him for an easy completion.
Did they explain how they knew where the break off point in the route was?
That when we were lined up the same and every other route was the same 1 time in the game that route was 2 yards shorter. I’m not going to go through the all-22 to verify but passing on the info.
I’ll put both on A-Rob then, I didn’t really care for the jump ball late in the game either but A-Rob also should have at least half ass attempted to come down with it.
If A-Rob wasn’t in a contract dispute nobody would give a shit. But he is and he put a massive spotlight on himself and his play so now we are breaking down All 22 film to assign blame.
That’s no a slight to dirt but just what happens when you go public with shit like this. People are going to nit pick on every last thing Robinson does moving forward.
I hate this franchise
Keep that shit away from the squad
I think a lot of fans forget our franchise has shit luck with QB’s, put Trubisky on KC with Andy Reid and we’re wishing we would’ve took him instead of Mahomes.
It’s just the way it works.....
No... Chicago took the worst of three QBs in that class at the time and it’s proven correct now.
With that said he’s been pretty good this year with the offense being throttled down. He should and this offense should have a big game tomorrow with Atlanta rocked by DNPs
Yeah I know but after following this team for 35 years we just don’t deserve an All-Pro QB...
Tice shouldn’t get some sort of praise because he had a terrible eval on Wilson. That story is being spun as “man Chicago knew he was good was just waiting for him in the fourth”. Nah you guys had a terrible eval and took some shirt tier hybrid pass rusher from Boise State as your top pick. Think that was Emry first draft and it was dreadful.
Chicago has had a long history of bad QBs because we have had a long history or terrible GMs.
It was Emery’s first. He drafted Alshon and absolutely no one else. Completely abysmal.
Like these trash deserve to be in a list with Mitchell
Julio Jones and like a third of their D is out.
Miss another fg smh
It’s beyond comical at this point.
3 plays td falcons lol
Finish some damn drives.
Why is Mitch throwing that? Miller was short and the most covered receiver
We need more design in our routes.. we literally run in and stop routes. A little diversity would be welcomed..
Is there anyone who does less with more than Chuck Pagano?
These non called holdings are beyond ridiculous. Coaching staff has to make it a point at every press conference.
Mitch targeted 2 WR that were out of bounds on that drive
Mitch just threw 2 passes out of bounds and gave his receivers no chance
