Meet me at Nickelodeon
Is the Nickelodeon feed going to have different announcers and graphics? If yes, sign me the fuck up
Don’t know about announcers but yeah, they’ll like slime players when they score or like explode a player when there is a big hit. Read about it a couple weeks ago. I’m in.
9.5 point underdogs, that seems like way too much
Have you not watched this defense the last 6 weeks? Or the offense with Nagy calling plays...
35/42 of the passes yesterday were within 10 yard of the LoS. I hate Nagy’s obsession with Dino and dunk. If we had actual playmakers at WR then great but we only have one and we pretty much got him killed yesterday.
are we all aligned that the game plan is a reflection on confidence or lck thereof in Mitch?
it’ll be same story next weekend too. Eventually NO will put some distance between us and it’ll be game over.
I think Nagy isn’t confident in Mitch but it wasn’t any better (in some cases much worse) with Foles. If you look at the YPA and YPR for when Lazor had the play sheet vs when Nagy does it’s night and day difference.
I think it's a reflection on Nagy being a dumbass. Mitch was fine with Lazor's approach the prior few weeks. Yesterday's gameplan was a pretty big deviation from what they've been doing over the successful run. Some of that was likely an attempt at winning the TOP battle, but it was overly conservative and not what's gotten the offense on track. It was reminiscent of the offense at the start of the season. A more concerted effort at running the ball, but way too much horizontal shit. That's not what Lazor had been running.
Oh, Nagy is a fucking clown too. I dont think he has a magic game plan up his sleeve that he cant use because of Mitch.
The Bears really didn't air the ball out long with Lazor at the helm. The numbers looked better because we played some trash teams and our skill guys made some better plays. I would say the last three weeks the bears have been very dink and dunk.
I don't think Nagy trust Mitch. I think he's cutting off 2/3 of the field and giving him two reads each pass down. Its very simple, basic shit. I'm not sure big strikes down the field are part of that. And I think quick short strikes also help a very bad OL look solid.
I think the Bears get a third round pick if this happens
Two third round picks.
Champ was going to be in the running had we moved on from Pace. Some people think he was vital in mid round selections the Bears hit on.
I think Hoge or Jahns said this on the recent podcast but the Bears should at minimum make a change at Team President. Then allow him to either give Pace/Nagy another year or clean house. It’s really an awful idea to have three guys on a hot seat all return next season. Add to the fact we saw Pace commit a ton of money and what looks like bad money in a all out attempt last offseason and it resulted in 8-8. With money tight that would leave the limited draft capital as his only resource for roster changeover.
While most of that is true, that wasn't the same offense we ran the prior few weeks. The argument wasn't about Lazor airing it out long either. He didn't, but he also wasn't completely reliant on dink and dunk. He utilized the middle of the field more and took some mid range shots on the boundaries. Even the naked boots had multiple levels of depth, where when we did it against Green Bay, they were one read routes.
Foles games are awful pass protection
Lazar games with Mitch are meh
Nagy games with Mitch are fantastic because all Nagy will call is 3 yard outs.
definitely feels like the games that had the season riding on it at the end with Mitch that Nagy was calling plays. Post Vikings game Lazor was asked about him still calling plays and he wouldn’t answer.
Im over Nagy. If he can’t identify that he himself is holding back the team ultimately he’s not going to be a long term solution regardless of how bad he thinks Mitch is.
My biggest thing with Nagy is
He gives up play calling
He then takes back play calling
if I was ownership I would wonder what matters most, the team or his ego?
Always and forever
Do you really think the difference in the offense was the guy calling the plays and not the fact you played 4 dreadful defenses?
little of column A, little of column B
That wasn't the only time we played shitty defenses this year. There was also a clear shift in the playcalling.
If you look at the PFF chart you see our OL played great against the best defenses we played since Nagy "gave up the play sheet" and the OL played average to poor against the worst defenses. Those great games mirror the same numbers from the first three weeks of the season when the combo was Nagy + Mitchell.
Its an assumption and as stinky pointed out it may be a bit of this and a bit of that, but you see a clear pattern.
We played Minnesota a month apart and look at how each game turned out
That one and Dalvin are shocking
I feel bad for Smith. But what that tells me is we didn't miss on this pick. He's one of the elites. He definitely had question marks coming into the season if he would ever take the next steps. Questions answered.
We never stood a chance. But to make things worse... Smith and Mooney official out for tomorrow
roquan dislocated his elbow, pretty sure Mooney has a concussion
Kamara is gonna have a field day with our LB’s.
Yep. Looks like I’ll be taking down Xmas lights tomorrow afternoon.
Better watch a little, you never know when we’ll play another playoff game
Brady snapped the ball a tenth of a second after the clock hit 0 and they called a delay of game. Weird.
Did they say anything about Johnson’s availability?
Won't matter. We're screwed.
With Roquan I think you guys would have a shot. Pretty sure Kamara will do unholy things to Treveython.
Nah. Franchise is fucked. Only hope going forward is that Mack and Quinn have been injured all year and that’s why they’ve had no production. Wayyyy to much money and draft capital invested in the D and they’ve been pathetic to end the year.
I think a new DC helps Mack, Quinn, and BoJack get back on track....I hope anyway.
BoJack was still really good prior to the bye, just didn’t have the big plays (he had the 2 Def TDs both overturned by shitty calls). If the pressure comes back and QBs are in duress his big plays will come back. Now why his tackling and coverage fell off a cliff since the bye? I don’t know.
I just meant against the Saints. Brees dumping off all day plays into you guys pretty well if Roquan is there. He and Hicks could fuck him up.
Got to hope coming off the Rona that Kamara is a bit sluggish and not the elite back we have known for years. Its slim chance but really the only hope we have
Pray for our anuses today
I'm praying you guys fuck up the Saints anuses
Johnson out as well. This will get ugly fast.
What happened during the bye week that BoJack wants nothing to do with playing defense now?
Let’s give them all the underneath routes when their QB can barely heave it 20 yards
I hate this team
Props to Pagano for having these guys playing short handed.
