Don't think he is even 21 yet, but rumors are he has bad knees and is one of the reasons he left for the draft early. He can be a really good player and is really athletic, but he is inconsistent. He dominated in the Ohio St game, but had a couple games where he looked lost. If his knees hold up, he will be a solid center for 10 years at least imo.
I like the move. The more talent around Mitch the better. Nagy’s System is pretty interchangeable from a wide out perspective so he’ll be playing inside and out. Don’t love giving up a two next year but that’s the cost of doing business. Need to get an edge rusher here in the 4th.
Also I want to give Pace some credit. The supporting cast around Mitch is substantially better than anything Jay ever had in his 9 years. He has put Mitch in the best position to be successful, now it’s on Mitch to deliver.
Ha considering only one of those guys is still in the league, I’m pretty okay with my statement. Also thank you for naming the two worst locker rooms players of the past 10 years.
I agree they are doing the correct thing and improving the pieces around Mitch... But we really need more help on defense. I would like to add 3 guys to that side of the ball this afternoon.
I think Jalyn Holmes would be a great fit for the Bears on the outside. He is a guy I could have seen going anywhere from the 2nd to 5th round coming into the draft. High ceiling low floor. Would be happy with that pick. Parry Nickerson is another guy I could see taken as a 3rd corner. Kevin Tolliver and Holton Hill as more upside guys.
Not happy with undersized kid from a non power conference that did not dominate his conference. Guy has 6.5 career sacks and he is our edge rusher???
Ummm Alshon, Marshall, Bennett, Forte? All of those players are better than anyone on your roster right now. They just had awful coaches.
We’ve got a top half D that’s young and most are returning. I’d feel pretty good about the D even if we didn’t draft anyone today on that side of the ball.
Lost in all this... Anybody know what's going on with Grassu? He was a pretty high touted pick. I get he tore his ACL but it just seems I don't even hear his name being mentioned at all.
You’re a stupid fucking Bears fan if you think that group was better than what is currently on the bears. Not only did they tear apart of the locker room, aside from Alshon, none have done a fucking thing since 2014. Focus on Sporting KC, bud.
In 2015 Marshall had a better season than Robinson has ever had (happened to be the same year as Robinson's one good year)
That team was great on offense. Wasn't only Manning's Broncos better when he went crazy with the TDs? For a single season that team is better talent and production wise than what we currently have, and it's not particularly close. Not sure how this is an argument.
Apparently it’s not only that. It’s also the Bosa loophole that most teams are waiving and the Bears haven’t...
The Score reporting there is no talking between CAA and the Bears at the time. Bears will absolutely not budge on the provision that money can be taken away for non-football related on field fines. They will not set that precedent.
This HAS to be coming from ownership. Because under this GM we have signed all picks very quickly. I fucking hate this ownership. At least the Blackhawks and Cubs have good ownership. We’re fucked with the Bears and Bulls
I'm sure if we had our beast rookie LB signed he wouldn't be on the field... but yeah. Why they resigned cooper is beyond me. Terrible move... Seems like some of those undrafted FA DBs have had really good camps. Rather roll the dice on youth improving over Cooper
I’m leery fella’s, maybe it’s still the hangover form the Cutler megatrade. I just don’t want to give up our young defensive talent and 2 1sts.
What’s the rumored trade? I’ve only seen we’re expected to give up 2 firsts. Which if that’s case, and given our history of never drafting shit in the first round, I’m all for it.
Yeah so far I’ve only seen 2 1sts, which I can live with. If you start throwing in 2 1sts and Floyd, or Smith.....nah.
