Even if I only watch the first half of each game this year, that’s 8 more entertaining games than all of last year. #Brightside
Solid win but the Seahawks aren’t good. Some good and bad from Mitch tonight but he needs to be better for this team to matter
Guys need to keep in mind his entire first year was a waste. Fox was the least creative coach in the league. Mitch is gonna have his up's and downs need to keep a level head about the kid. The talent is there just gonna take a little time.
There’s a point tho where he can’t throw some of the throws he’s trying (a-rob underthrow and double team throw in end zone). Those are the plays where he has me thinking he doesn’t get it. Hopefully he learns from those.
The a rob throw was a good read just a shitty throw. The end zone was a shorty read and a shitty throw.
Yeah the deep throw was a good read but you gotta plant your feet and throw it long if anything, a guy with Trubiskys arm can’t under throw that ball.
Defense looks really good, Offense looks really good other than the QB play. I am hoping he just needs more experience but after seeing Mahomes, my fear is we have an Ales Smith type QB that willl be very limited and not be able to win games on his own
Trubisky really had 3 bad plays last night. He missed a deep/intermediate route to a wide open Gabriel, the under throw to Robinson, and then the ball that didn't get picked off in the end zone where he didn't see the second man at all. The Seahawks were taking away deep routes all night so when the Bears had the chance to hit a couple, Trubisky has to convert. Also, I thought Burton would be targeted a lot more than he is. Basically he's been the third/fourth option for Trubisky and always on little drag routes. At some point they need to send him down the seam and Trubisky has to throw it to him.
And this doesn't absolve Trubisky at all, because it was a horrendous throw, but Robinson absolutely has to do more than just let the ball come to him on that play.
Thought the same thing. He gave no effort on that play and didn't contest the ball at all. He was going to try to catch it at waist level as the corner was going up to get the ball.
Keep in mind that Mahomes (who I thought was the best QB in that class and I was begging for us to take) had an entire year to learn under Nagy and Reid. Andy is one of the best QB head coaches to play under in the league. Mitch spent the last year under Fox. I would expect the big jump for Mitch to happen late in the season into next year. Also keep in mind that Mahomes had way more reps in college than Mitch so the year of lack of development plays a bigger impact
Kinda like the fumble where he decided to run forward 3 yards thinking the ball would just go with him
Difference is we won't give Trubisky a deal that fucks us long-term if he doesn't prove his worth. That pass to Burton was his best pass of the season.
