They’ve been pretty good tankers recently. Those pre-lovie teams were the absolute worst. Remember them winning a week 16/17 to drop from 1 to 5 in Peyton Mannings class. Hooray Curtis Enis. There was another HoF QB they lost because they won like 3 of the last 4 but I can’t remember who. Terry Bradshaw they lost because of a fricking coin toss.
Daniels looks good... I'm not agreeing with any of these statements till I see Caleb with a legit coaching staff.
Breer is fed all his info from George correct? I know one of the national guys is who George speaks with...
Its the twitter/x user SearStower, he made a few post. Basically said Ben Johnson wants a 6 year deal. That Poles is about to sign an extension with the Bears but that wont prevent Johnson from taking the job. I will say that those tweets didn't seem like his natural way of posting and he might have been hacked because the account is now deleted.
He’s done that before as well. Last off season he posted something then Greg Gabriel told him he was full of shit. He deleted everything after arguing a bit, then reactivated a week later to bump a tweet showing he was right from the start. He then deleted everything again before showing back up the past month or so. Conspiracy theory is someone in HH got Paris Hilton’d and fed a fake story to find the leaker.
that's funny that people in HH are very online to even feed the fake shit... He did say that no new updates would come out till they interview Johnson in a few weeks.
We are going to interview more than just Ben Johnson. We should be interviewing a wide net of candidates… Joe Brady, Coan and a few others should sit with us.
There's a scenario in which Poles wanted to hire Kingsbury as OC last year, Flus and George did not...and here we are. That's about the only way that hiring Kingsbury now, as HC, isn't just super fucking embarrassing, at minimum. Without even getting into whether or not he can be a good HC despite his previous run
Didn’t want him as your O.C. but now you want him as your head coach under what is effectively a lame duck GM. This fucking organization. Fully expect Ben Johnson to not only turn away the Bears but do so in humiliating fashion
yes but we shouldn’t be interviewing someone who we turned down as not good enough to be the OC less than a year ago
Since no one actually read the article from the looks of it. They both said Chi has Johnson first and Johnson has Chi first. He wants Caleb. Flores is linked because him/Poles are BC guys and Warren knows everyone in Minn. Both Carrol and McCarthy are working back channels trying to become candidates (like Johnson they want to work with Caleb). Kliff wants to interview and the Bears would interview him. The Adam’s suggested if Carrol doesn’t land anywhere giving him the Vrabel “personal consultant to the GM” or whatever role would be intriguing.
Not to be a Kliff defender but what is the expectations at Texas Tech? He literally put that program on the map.
Wait what Mike Leach went to 10 bowls in 10 years at Texas Tech. Kliff went 35-40 with his best season being 8-5. What map did he put them on?
Well the issue is that they can’t say asshole in the building so they can’t ask the players or coaches if they are assholes in the interview / negotiation process. George and Virginia can’t be hearing such language
These lines are so pathetic. Can’t generate any pressure, can’t give Caleb more than a second to drop back. Just awful.
We’re probably stuck with that contract for another year but we can get his production for way cheaper.
If he just would follow his blocker and take the 2 yard gain on first downs. Instead he ends drives with a bounce and 4 yard loss. No different than a sack.
I honestly think he thought he drew up a beautiful 2 pt play and wanted it on tape for coaching interviews. Trying to make it a 9 point lead makes no sense anyways.
