He was clearly out during the play, not sure how the commentator missed it. Ref let it go just in case but thought he was out live.
This should be enough to get Pace and Nagy fired at the end of the year, you’re no closer to GB than 3 years ago.
Fields is showing growth but also showing clear rookie mistakes. We definitely don't look "good". We beat an ok Raiders team and the fucking Lions. Fire everyone into the Sun and start over. The goal should be best in the division not middling. Some of the offensive play calls were fucking atrocious. On a petty note I can't wait until the Packers don't have a generational QB.
Now that the attention about Nagy and shit play calling has been put aside you can now look at the other aspects that impact this team. Like the horrendous roster moves by our GM and the fact that he went into this season with a pissed of A-Rob and Mooney as the only skill guys on the roster with any proven talent. And its clear A-Rob is 100% checked out and Mooney isn't a #1. I don't hate pace but he's left way to many issues on this team because of his misses to really be allowed to continue on. We have had worse GMs but at this point you can't continue on with him getting another HC and allowing him to retool a roster that should have a lot of money to play with.
I love how so many Bears fans have just assumed this is the case. Honestly, nobody has any fucking idea at this point.
Which part? The love part or Rodgers? I’m taking the love part based on comments made by Jason Wilde and he’d have a better idea than any outside fan. IRT Rodgers, re-sign wasn’t the right word because he’s still under contract. He’s been more complementary of the organization since the season started, but it’ll still probably be a judgement call in the offseason based on how the season shakes out. If he sees a better option, he’ll pursue it I’m sure.
could be, but the comments out of this preseason about love were a 180 from previous years. ideally we resign Rodgers to a new 3 year deal and go from there. It still seems unlikely, but some positive comments have come out lately that don't make it impossible.
Ah, I didn’t realize you were a packers fan, I’m on the same page now. I’d imagine the rethinking on Love was due to seeing him get more reps with the first team when Rodgers wasn’t around. Even if Rodgers was being “helpful” with love the last few years, I refuse to believe he was allowing him to get any significant first team reps. With Rodgers, I feel like he’s far more likely that he stays with the team than it was say three months ago (not really a leap, I know). But it’s so hard to tell what his mindset will be at the end of the year. A lot could change between now and then.
For all intents and purposes he pretty much is a free agent after this year because in order to keep him he either needs to sign an extension that frees up cap space in the near term or completely gut the roster elsewhere (Adams, Alexander, Jenkins, etc) The only way his contact serves us units current state is if they decide to move on they will be able to trade him and get value back
whats the deal with Adams. Do you expect him to stick around if Rodgers bolts? (Sorry if he signed an extension I haven’t kept up with much outside of Bears talk).
I wish he said how many of those other 29 the Def/ST were the reason we scored over 20. Probably a good 50/50 split.
I honestly don't think it impacts him that much, but probably has some. He seems to want money. If they gave him the $ he is asking for he would sign tomorrow. He isn't going to take less than he can get elsewhere to stick with Rodgers. He put up numbers with Brett Hundley and Kizer over the years. Most of the guys like he and Bahktiari have said the right things about being Rodgers friend and supporting him but still being all in with the franchise.
He’s been awful. Stay of Twitter and fix whatever the fuck is going wrong. I really thought the new DC would spring him back to life but this might be his worse season as a bear.
Eddie is going to be great once he leaves Chicago Playing for the bears has sucked the life out of him
I don't know shit, but it seems like after those first couple of years he, the organization, and fans anointed him to be the next great thing after he did in fact perform quite well. Sometimes though, the reason you are a 4th round pick hides for a bit and then teams manage to find it. Also, sometimes with safeties the ball finds you when you have Mack, Hicks, etc harassing the QB. INT numbers can be a dirty whore when the environment around that actually created them diminishes a bit.
There’s a reason he fell to the fourth round, and it was only partially due to the injury. He wasn’t exactly interested in tackling anyone at Bama either. I didn’t think his tackling effort would become this piss poor though, he seems to be in a very deep rut
I have such high hopes for Justin. I’m just ready for massive change in leadership both in the front office and locker room with a new head coach.
