Yes I have been averaging about 5 a week now, so I’m definitely back in the game. I ordered about 40 cigars over the past few weeks and picked up a bunch locally today.
Naw pretty new. Vertigo lighter. From a massive cigar smoker for the past 6 years, Vertigo is the best way to go for the cheaper lighters. Fuck Xikar. Vertigo are truly the best
Every expensive lighter I have ever bought has wound up going to shit. I find the cheaper lighters seem to last longer and work better. Have owned so many colibris and they all go bad.
I went with these and have had no complaints. Vertigo by Lotus Cyclone Triple Torch Cigar Lighter Charcoal 2 Pack Though I should admit, I'm new to the cigar world so this is the only one I've tried so far.
Absolutely fantastic lighter. I have a couple of those as well. One tip for you and others that are new and just dont know. If you are filling up the lighter yourself, when it needs a fill, take a small screw driver and drain the air out of the lighter before you fill up.
I just received one of two orders I made to ihavanas. Here is the packaging in case anyone is curious. Total delivery was exactly two weeks. Not bad at all since they quote three business weeks.
These Ramon Allones are amazing. I haven’t smoked a Ramon Allones Cuban in probably 25 years. I always loved the robustas back then but this is super nice.
The difference between a torpedo and just a normal cigar is what exactly aside from the look? Does it smoke differently?
Rolled differently. Thought process is it concentrates the flavor more to the end at the point. Just personal preference.
smoked it last night and it was enjoyable but I probably won’t buy again. Too strong for my taste, it was a little rough. I prefered the Trinidad by a wide margin.
Went on a date tonight and she took me to a cigar lounge after dinner. Watching an attractive woman smoke a cigar might be the sexiest thing I’ve seen... and I’ve seen a lot. She got me a Padron Damaso something something, she had a different kind of Padron but I forgot the name. I love the smell, but like liquor, I never get/sense these taste profiles people talk about - is that just an acquired thing? Spoiler
chicks smoking a cigar is the best. Yeah it is more of an acquired taste. Some people start with flavored cigars. It’s why the drew estate acid is probably the biggest selling cigar. A lot of women smoke those. But if she got you a Damaso, which is a good pick by her because it’s the lightest Padron there is, and she got another Padron for herself. If you start smoking a flavored cigar with her, that might be the last time you get to see a picture like that from her
100%. They tried to make a mild cigar and its a decent mild cigar in terms of the others. But not anywhere near the other Padrons To me, Padron 45 year Family Reserve is a Top 5 cigar in the world.
IHHH up in Canada with all the taxes it’s very hard to find the more expensive non Cuban cigars if you don’t order online. Not many places carry them because the price would probably be about 60 Canadian for that cigar
Also the one good thing about Florida, there is no cigar/tobacco tax. that Padron at my store is $27. You go to other states and it’s a lot higher
I have a couple of different types of the Padron 1964's. I like those cigars except I am not a huge fan of the squared off shape.
Thats basically all the Padrons. The smoothness of Padrons are 2nd to none. The only issue with them is they burn way to fucking quick
Agree don’t like the box press on the anniversarios. Looks pretty as hell though. Smoked one my Monte No.2s I aged for a couple of years. Had to take a break 1/2 through. Buzzed as hell.
lol i don’t smoke anything aside from an occasional cigar. Maybe twice a month, everytime I smoke I am buzzed as hell.
Yeah they’ll get you. I’ve been smoking lighter cigars lately and that No. 2 got me. Second cigar I ever smoked was some almost black Onyx. I had to go lay down. I got the spins.
LOL, I was just outside smoking a Ramon Allones and drinking a Bomberger's bourbon and something came over me to start moving large rocks from the front of my house to the back to build up a retaining wall. Between the cigar and the activity I almost passed out. I think my eyes started rolling back into my head.
what’s your go to? I’m about 4 a day during the week. 1 at the office 3 at home. Friday - Sunday: got to be close about 7
Right now ... humidor filled with amazon basins , but at the lounges .. Herrera Esteli, don Linos , consigliere, Africa’s , and the new my fathers .
Work cigar - Fuente Rosado Sun Grown Home - New World Cameroon when I’m out - Such a variety. Padrons mostly. But I’ll try anything new they have in.
She said it’s perfectly fine if not the best for a non smoker/beginner. She also said “tell the guy from the internet to smd”. What do you recommend for a newbie? I’d like to try some more and it’s a great social activity for someone like me who doesn’t really like to drink. Also, is drinking water while smoking a cigar ok? I don’t really like scotch or brandy, etc., but smoking dries out my mouth.
Are the Aging Room Quattro Maestros worth they purchase? My dad is considering ordering a box. I know it got cigar of the year. Haven’t tried it yet though.
Went to the front porch to relax and have a cigar while I did some reading for enjoyment. Lit a cigar, had a few puffs and immediately decided I wasn't feeling it. Complete waste of a cigar. /Coolstorybro
Haha yep. He’s just getting into cigars. He likes medium body torpedoes. I load him up with Monte No. 2s normally
I haven’t had it. But whenever I get a free aging room, I always say I need to start smoking some more of them
Thats amazing. Me and my buddies are planning a trip down to the Perdomo factory in Nicaragua. Supposed to be an amazing experience.
There was no factory where we went (at least not that I noticed), just family farms that we saw. We did a tour of one then they were selling batches of 10 cigars. Apparently the Cuban government takes 80-90% of their harvest and they can do whatever they want with the other 10-20%. These people gave us some rum and were selling handrolled cigars. It was amazing.
