My buddy did that with the daughter of a friend (who also umps) on a 3-0 count in a 20 run game. The dad laughed in the moment, but a month later the mother and daughter absolutely dressed my buddy down over the call in a restaurant. It was my first Karen moment and you could tell the dad had seen this a hundred times. Didn’t even raise his head up from his beer while this happened.
I umpired baseball and refereed basketball and it was hard to pick which was worse. Basketball sucked because every coach thought because they had an NBA clipboard at summer camp they were the next Pop. Baseball sucked because the kids can barely throw the ball across the plate. My old man still umpires little league and he says the coaches are so bad these days. They don’t know the rules and will argue things that are so obviously wrong that you feel bad.
I refed basketball but luckily I would do it with my dad, who would take the brunt of things. Being behind the plate at a young age would be tough as hell.
best youth ump league moment i remember growing up was my team realizing a couple innings in that the homeplate ump was the brother of a kid on the team we were playing and him immediately having to leave lol
Continuing on this tangent - our umpire was a no show for our 9U travel game tonight, so I had the pleasure of calling our half innings in the field from behind the mound. I’m the head coach so having to call the game essentially took me out of that role. This was an away game with zero parents willing to step up, yet they think it’s totally normal to constantly complain about balls and strikes (ignoring that I called all 3 bang-bang plays in their favor) because, you know, I’m “biased.” It’s 9U, either get your ass out here and call the game or chill out. Anyway, I see why that guy didn’t bother showing up tonight.
Imagine sprinting to social media to tell the world you are the biggest loser on the planet. He definitely thinks he's in the right and all he is a huge fucking loser hahaha
I finally unfollowed Chad this morning when I saw this. I know you never did like him because of the Vols fandom, but he did a 180 ( ) sucking Clay's tit. Magnificent content, I'm assuming
Yeah, I’ve always hated him. I like Hutton and like PK’s Titans stuff, but I won’t support anything they do because of Travis. PK seems to be even more insufferable now, too, which is quite the accomplishment.
Batter interference is definitely a thing, so not shockingly Clays lack of knowledge of something has people talking.
Surprised to see this tweet receive so many retweets. Figured most of his retweeters got tied up in the Idaho white supremacist uhaul takedown yesterday.
this show went out of its way to run ads saying there would be “no politics” discussed, too, which is rich
yeah, that was hilarious. That guy came across my radar when he was doing a youtube show before going to Cowherd's podcast network and then this. More than anything, I just think he kinda sucks at this
the shift from denying this happened to making the focus that it was done by an illegal immigrant is breathtaking.
Even though immigrants commit less crimes on average than US citizens. Facts and impact on real people is not relevant. Winning and shaping the narrative is all that matters
Joe Biden's Justice Dept? Aren't we trying to clearly establish that the DOJ does not belong to the Prez, Clay? Fucking tropical island law degree.
