My brother is that guy.
Time to disown him
I’m assuming he’s just an absolute delight to converse with.
What a coincidence that we’ve found the two people who’ve bought the book
I mean, he's just a douche is all.
Eh... he's getting more tolerable as his kids drain the life from his body.
With all those 35 ACT scores, we're just playing catch up
Be nice to Merica he is my friend
What was this?
Oh he deleted it? Lol it was just a tweet about the Texas OU game that read like someone who just learned the American language typed out
lol - doesn't even outdraw the Alabama Spring Game.
Clicked onto Clay's account because of this tweet. His book blurb about too much politics into sports is killing me if only because almost every tweet today were about Elizabeth Warren. Seriously, two or three non replies (didn't read his replies) were about Warren. I wonder if he ever hates himself for this new schtick.
Probably looks at his bank account and gets over any self loathing very quickly
I'm trying to remember when he had a relevant sports take.
He went something like 3-11 this weekend gambling
Big fan of Crow T Robot: Dick Kicker
Fuck Clay Travis but I welcome Tyreek Hill hate from everyone
Clay Travis is a douche, but he's not really wrong here.
So we are an eye for an eye country now, eh?
That pats fan would have thrown that beer just as fast in another player’s face.
No, bro. The point is that someone who experienced extreme leniency for a worse crime has little standing to demand the harshest punishment available for someone doing something objectively less egregious. Fuck Clay Travis with a pineapple, but that's not a very hot take.
I get that what he did is bad and worse. Doesn’t change anything
But is that what he even said? All I have seen is Hill's agent - known douchebag Drew Rosenhaus - say the fan should be prosecuted. Maybe I missed Hill's call for him to be "prosecuted to the full extent of the law" though.
Admittedly, I don't know what Hill said. My mistake for not assuming from the outset that Clay hadn't just made it up like he always does.
You're missing the point. It's not as much about what he did vs. what they did as it is about the disconnect on the requirements for justice.
So committing a crime means you can’t press charges when a crime is committed against you?
Exactly. Charles Manson was neatly set free when it was discovered that Roman Polanski was a pervert.
glass houses and such
That is not at all what I was saying. Not sure how you could have taken it that way at all, actually.
It’s kind of what Clay is saying and if you don’t think he’s wrong you’re kind of saying the same thing, right?
Not sure how that’s applicable in this case, prosecute the crime not the victim of said crime.
The state can and should prosecute the dude. That’s not the point. A person who was granted leniency through privilege for an objectively terrible crime demanding punishment is off-putting and hypocritical. It doesn’t exonerate the fan or mean Hill can’t be a victim of a crime.
jailing patriot fans is good
I love that they see themselves as rebels so much
they also love the "-Insert athlete- is a buddy of mine" line. How Clay handles the Eddie Goerge rumors each time.
Klatt is a douche, but that is awesome.
Jason Whitlock has a passing resemblance to Huell from breaking bad.
also damien woody
This is a perfect summation of Travis imo
