The fact that ESPN employed him for so long makes the arguments about their supposed liberal globalist bias from the “did not vote for him” crowd a bit cute
and to think they went from Danny Kanell to him on Ryen Russillo's show (Who is pretty damn cringe himself).
Stephen A Smith went on an ignorant and bigoted rant about how awful it is for baseball that it's best player doesnt speak english. We speak english in this country ect... Instead of saying something like "Is the language barrier a reason why Ohtani isnt a bigger star" he went on a long ignorant rant about it. Sounded very MAGA-y
Nobody fucking cares, Clay. Stick to the coronabros and the woke athletes kneeling for the Anthem. That’s why you make the big bucks, my guy.
Yea because getting your photo taken is the same as being grilled with questions by a bunch of people that don’t care to understand what she’s dealing with. What a piece of shit.
As someone who lives in the heart of Clay's demo, they are going to eat this shit up. Going after a young, outspoken black athlete is going to get that fucking piece a shit another beach house.
Also lol at including the part about Barbie. I know Clay doesn’t care but how in any way does that correlate to any of his other complaints? Sounds more like he wants her cancelled/not making money if she doesn’t play the sports media’s game. Sad!
megyn kelly almost cried on national tv at the idea of santa not being white she should be fed into a wood chipper feet first and same for the pieces of shit at nbc that tried to legitimize her as a real journalist
NBC gives this piece of a shit a pile of money and her first move is to ride around in a car with Alex Jones. Her evil knows no depths.
Rhetorical comment, but it's so hard to comprehend the "Fuck the media liberal ass shit" and "Athletes need to respect journalists, and they are weak" right wing talking points.
I think there's an interesting conversation to be had regarding the role of media today when it comes to athletes where you can come down on the side of "it's important that media has access to these people to ask questions on behalf of the audience." That's not really the conversation Travis and Kelly are having because they're trash and simply don't like what she stands for. Osaka's situation is also different from some other athletes, and the worldwide tennis media isn't exactly similar to what most pro athletes in America deal with.
I don’t think I’ve ever listened to or watch a post game conference. I can’t believe anyone cares about them.
In a sport with an owner, I can see the owner saying you have do to it. They are the boss and they make up the job requirements. Or even a network demanding it as part of their fees to a league/tour. But journalists? No, I don't think they have a right to demand anything from someone they aren't paying. And damn sure not "journalists" that don't don't cover the sport and aren't affected at all.
what the fuck is this even supposed to mean? Walk me through your train of thought on this. I’m honestly interested in knowing why you think one has to do with another.
I have 112k posts and a good portion are drunken rants and have never paid the slightest bit of attention to post game interviews Good night
Yeah I’ve watched probably a half a dozen post game interviews and it’s usually just to laugh at some MAGA chud coach like John Tortarella going off on something that they felt slighted on and are completely off base. Who watches those things regularly?
You’d think you’d hit one after a title game or in the car driving home or sitting in the parking lot continuing your tailgate after a game.
I don't know what this means, but I don't think it has much to do with the conversation I'm talking about.
check my fan of I haven’t had the opportunity to watch many post championship press conferences. I don’t get the appeal of watching regular season ones or championship ones with 2 teams I don’t care about. The most I’ve done is watch an interview on the field/court right after the game. Just not something I’m interested in not sure what posting on here has to do with that. I have plenty of free time and I use it doing stuff I enjoy. Wasting time on here is one such thing. But, I guess he showed me.
Not every fan posts on message boards. We are more of the fanatical part of fan so it’s more likely we’ve listened to a coach’s show or a pre or postgame imho
I don’t do that either. I will rewatch games and have gone to a practice here and there and a spring game. I’ve never really been into those other things. I usually don’t post in game threads after the game ends like many here do. Not knocking anyone who enjoys it but just not my cup of tea. I did enjoy the old HBO shows leading up to fights though.
I liked all that stuff when I was a kid and before the internet. I don’t usually listen to any of it now.
I don't think it's important for the media to have access. If the owner/league want it, cool. They are paying the person and can do that. But I don't think the media is in a spot to demand it.
