Re: *** There was a transfer window? | Wolves FC *** Yeah not sure what happened there with him. Really wished he would gone on loan
Re: *** The middle of the table is too dangerous | Wolves FC *** My new mission is to provide a new thread title daily. Tomorrow, Bolton. They're fading fast, but we've proven we can lose to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
Re: *** The middle of the table is too dangerous | Wolves FC *** Yeah, I think we've proved to be easily the hardest team to predict, week in, week out. It would be such a boost to go up to the Reebok and get three points ahead of United and Arsenal away.
Re: *** The middle of the table is too dangerous | Wolves FC *** I would murder many people to get 3 points out of the next 3 games. Thank god we have a good shot at points with a trip to WBA and playing host to Blackpool after that.
Re: *** The middle of the table is too dangerous | Wolves FC *** Is it sad that I'm not too upset we lost to Stoke, just so I can watch the WBA game in my dorm room instead of in my History 100 class. I don't think I would be able to restrain myself in the event of a late second half goal from either side.
Re: *** Out of darkness cometh more darkness | Wolves FC *** ABANDON SHIP thread is now about Aston Villa
Re: *** Out of darkness cometh more darkness | Wolves FC *** F*cking Zubar. Good thing Clemson had a good Signing Day, otherwise I'd be in crisis mode. Watch us turn around and beat Man United on Saturday.
Re: *** Out of darkness cometh more darkness | Wolves FC *** We need to bench Doyle and Fletcher and make them earn a fucking spot. Those two don't do shit. Jesus. Just play a 5 man back line and let 5 midfielders run around and do whatever the fuck they please.
Re: *** Into the Swamp | Wolves FC *** I think the best we can hope for tomorrow is a fair game. I'm praying we can draw since we got absolutely fucked out of it the last time.
Re: *** Nowhere to go but up | Wolves FC *** I hope we play SEB tmrw. Doyle just cannot buy a goal his year and we need someone who will capitalize on whatever little chance we can create. On the plus side, Hammill has been a major threat on the wing. Still pisses me off how wasteful Jarvis is.
Re: *** Nowhere to go but up | Wolves FC *** SEB is still our best striker. Honestly, what has Doyle done since joining us? Averaged 1 goal for every 5 games. Fletcher is on that same pace, but I could argue that he's still getting acclimated. I'd say throw Sam Vokes back into the fire. Let's see what he can do. It's there in the midfield for the most part. We need the defense to not have mental lapses, and we need someone that can poach the fuck out of goals.
Re: *** Nowhere to go but up | Wolves FC *** Doyle was great last year when we were grinding out draws because he would work his balls off to get and keep possession. Now that we're asking him to take on a more goal scoring role and he's just in a really bad funk. He wasn't a great finisher to begin with, but he's really out of it at the moment.
Re: *** Home of Kevin Doyle's amazing hair | Wolves FC *** Wolverhampton FC : One Giant "Fuck You" to Capitalism.
Re: *** Doing everyone else's bidding | Wolves FC *** Robbie Keane's house, with stipulation that he joins us in the summer and he must take a pay cut.
Re: *** Doing everyone else's bidding | Wolves FC *** might be able to work a loan deal for a striker or some other positions of needs in the summer.
Re: *** Doing everyone else's bidding | Wolves FC *** http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/wolves-boss-mick-mccarthy-delighted-beat-man-utd-8412592/ Mick's interview post-match. BTW I just saw that you can add "people who inspire you" to your profile on Facebook, so the only person I put was Mick.
Re: *** Doing everyone else's bidding | Wolves FC *** Great edit. Loved the interview. He was ridiculously humble and composed having beaten them for the first time.
Re: *** Doing everyone else's bidding | Wolves FC *** We need the video from the dressing room post match. Mick was so smug doing that interview.
Re: *** Fuck off, capitalism *** I think we'll be ready, but I'm anticipating something close to our last two meetings with the Arsenal: great showing, but possible points stolen at the death.
Re: *** Fuck off, capitalism *** It's at the Emirates so I just hope they play to the whistle like they did with Man City a couple of weeks ago. If they're gonna lose, they better lose in spectacular fashion and be ready for the subsequent matches where there is potential to pile up points. We will now be through with Arsenal, City, ManU, Chelsea, and Liverpool after this weekend and that is tremendous to be able to go into every game not worrying about getting dicked by the FA refs.
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** Can't wait to see the angry smile on Mick's face tomorrow. The guy just can't exhibit anything but sheer delight.
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** Baconface still sore about the defeat at Wolves. Describes it as "a pathetic crash" in programme notes for Manchester derby
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** Largely contingent on our survival for the next 2 years. It would do great things for the club. Part of the reason I'm so on edge with this club every weekend.
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** I've not been this nervous for a Wolves match-up in years. You get the feeling that a loss means only a miracle would save us, but a win would make me feel great about staying up. I can't shake the feeling it's going to be a 80-88th minute 1-0 in either direction. If it's ours, I'm waking up all of Lightsey Bridge.
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** Right there with you. While I don't have a fully fledged hate for our rivals yet because I have not experienced the fixture before, I will be angrily watching. We need 6 from those cunts this year.
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** http://fanchants.com/football-songs/wolverhampton_wanderers-chants/wanderers-scalf/ Do you know where hell is? Hell is at West Brom. Heaven is at Molineux and that's where I come from!
Re: *** C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER *** Hope we can bring over Jamie O'Hara permanently. He's quickly becoming our best midfielder. Though I do want to see more of Mujangi-Bia.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** That's what I'm talking about. We put a great performance on a bottom-tier team and absolutely out-classed them. I love seeing Ebanks-Blake coming off the bench. He's not the fittest of players, so he can't last the 90, but bringing him on when the defense is loosing its legs is a great equalizer. If we stay up, we have to keep O'Hara.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** BTW digging the new O'Hara song: O'Hara, woooaaaahh O'Hara, wooooaaahh He scores against the shit. His girlfriend's really fit. O'Hara, woooooaaah
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** +4 on the GD could be the difference between drop zone and staying up. That lose to BC at home could keep us down. How the fuck did that happen?!?!?!?
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** Kightly makes his Wolves return for the reserves tonight, so let's play the "Guess the E&S Headline for Tomorrow" game: Fill in the blank: Kightly Exits Reserve Match with ______ Injury My early money is on a calf strain.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** Just looked at E&S: Kightly scored his first goal for the club in nearly 2 years in a Reserve match last night and plus more noise that Wolves will sign O'Hara permanently after the season, providing we stay up.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** Was telling Nittany that. He insists we're hard after Michael Johnson and would be willing to give up Hennessey. I don't see how that would be a good move. Marcus is likely gone to MLS next year and we'd be stuck with some stop gap keeper until we find a decent replacement. A lot of things hinge on our survival. I'm just glad they've decided to go through with the redevelopment on the Stan Cullis stand regardless.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** DO NOT WANT! Love Hennessey and Johnson can't be that much better than O'Hara that we'd be willing to ditch a young, full-international goalkeeper. Why the hell would they even want Hennessey when they already have a great, young keeper like Hart.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** I'm with you on that. I love Hennessey and he's still got plenty of room to grow. And O'Hara has become the focal point of our attack. His creativity has brought a lot more goals. I don't see how ditching him for Johnson could be a good thing. I'd rather pay for a player from Tottenham because they generally don't harbor drama queens over there and you know you're getting a well-behaved player. Plus we already know how he fits in. Him, Jarvis, and Hammill are the future of our midfield. Really like how the team is coming on in the last 2 months. Everyone's confidence is off the charts. :) Curious what moves we make in the summer though. Has to be defense I think. I'm not sure if we can find someone to surpass Zubar, Stearman, Berra, or Elokobi, but we can always use some depth there. Doubt we have Craddock for much longer.
Re: *** Out of the Drop Zone, Into Your Hearts *** ...what? I still don't trust Elokobi. He has had some good games, but I'd rather see him in a second string role. Apart from that and adding depth for the center backs, the only other thing I'd like to add is another holding midfielder.
Re: *** At Least We Aren't Wigan *** Matthew Jarvis has been called up to England squad for Wales and Ghana matches.
Re: *** At Least We Aren't Wigan *** Nice. He earned it. He just needs to stop turning the ball over. He's like a mini Gareth Bale.
Re: *** At Least We Aren't Wigan *** Finally got to see the highlights of yesterday after a weekend in Charleston. Great, great goal by Jarvis who really deserves the England squad call-up with his recent play. He's been the difference maker in this little unbeaten run *knockonwood*. It sucks that we have the international break now when we're in our best run of play.
