This one seems uninspired but #trusttheprocess
I think they should bring back Butch
gonna be boring going from sark to bob but it’s not a bad hire imo
Better than Gase
how soon people forget that this guy made Christian Hackenberg look good.
I think this is a great hire.
He will be there for 3 years, be a hot commodity, and get a big time d1 hire
I’d guess 2. He doesn’t need that much rehab.
Hope he doesn't trade away john metchie for a long snapper haha
he was never a bad offensive coach. shitty personnel decisions are what killed him in Houston.
Yeah, he’s an incredibly easy sell recruiting wise.
as long as he isn’t a GM he will be fine
Hackenberg was basically Art Sitkowski with better teammates
Just a horrible QB
I don’t recall hackenberg looking that great but he’s gonna be coaching the best players so it’ll be hard for him to fail
he had a very good freshman year. there were people talking about him being a possible first overall pick.
College football needs socialism
Change my mind
It’s amazing how little parity there is without teams being able to spend more than others on personnel (legally).
Elite leadership goes a long way.
Is Doug Pederson on staff in Tuscaloosa yet?
Yes I know you said “legally,” but refer to 1.
Gase would go all Private Pyle coaching under Saban.
Heard his first move was looking for a way to move Devonta Smith lol
lol I don’t think you need any help there
Is Alabama bringing in 25 five star recruits every year?
No. It can get better.
very good hire
Really pleased with this hire. Think he will fit in great with our program
Yeah and he showed he hasn't lost a step over the years since he ran Houston like a college program
Somewhat surprised Saban would hire someone who dislikes recruiting as much as BoB
One positive is Saban & ole Billy Buttchin should have some epic sideline screaming matches that should be entertaining to watch
We tend to have a couple of non-recruiter coaches on our staff at a time. We usually rely on 3 or so heavy hitters which we already have in Charles Huff, Karl Scott, and Jeff Banks
must be hard to recruit being bama. Need all the help you can get
Our OCs do very little recruiting. Even when we had Kiffin and Sark, you just never hear much about them on the trail.
All players- every single recruit has won a national championship and most get opportunity in NFL
To QBs- have a Former NFL head coach as your position coach
All a recruit needs to hear
There are a lot of "wow" stats regarding this run, but that's got to be the craziest/most impressive.
Probably because it isn’t true
Quit being pedantic. Every recruit who has stayed for at least 3 years has won a title.
It’s official. Hiring Marrone as OL coach too.
Hopefully he can fuck up the roster like he did in Houston
This aged well.
Nevermind how their tenures as NFL HCs went, are there other recent examples of departing NFL head coaches immediately becoming college assistants? Maybe there's some obvious ones I'm not thinking of
Kiffin went Oakland to HC at UTenn
Dude is awesome. Replaces two top assistants with two former NFL HCs.
