how soon people forget that this guy made Christian Hackenberg look good. I think this is a great hire.
I don’t recall hackenberg looking that great but he’s gonna be coaching the best players so it’ll be hard for him to fail
he had a very good freshman year. there were people talking about him being a possible first overall pick.
It’s amazing how little parity there is without teams being able to spend more than others on personnel (legally). Elite leadership goes a long way.
One positive is Saban & ole Billy Buttchin should have some epic sideline screaming matches that should be entertaining to watch
We tend to have a couple of non-recruiter coaches on our staff at a time. We usually rely on 3 or so heavy hitters which we already have in Charles Huff, Karl Scott, and Jeff Banks
Our OCs do very little recruiting. Even when we had Kiffin and Sark, you just never hear much about them on the trail.
Pitch All players- every single recruit has won a national championship and most get opportunity in NFL To QBs- have a Former NFL head coach as your position coach All a recruit needs to hear
There are a lot of "wow" stats regarding this run, but that's got to be the craziest/most impressive.
Nevermind how their tenures as NFL HCs went, are there other recent examples of departing NFL head coaches immediately becoming college assistants? Maybe there's some obvious ones I'm not thinking of Kiffin went Oakland to HC at UTenn
