curled up in a ball in the LV airport. Dead legs, still spitting sand out, 40+ videos in the camera roll, waiting on my rave bae to follow me back on ig Successful weekend never seen so many crazy outfits, totems, & hot Asian girls in 1 place
I'm not sure why Garrix didn't play this year - some dispute about using his own audio people or something - but him popping up during Armin's set at Tao Beach was pretty awesome. Alesso crushed both sets.
$3k just in water hahaha. Zero discount on any of it despite dropping the price of a G-wagon in drinks? What does your client do?
They built a stage in the middle of the audience for the table - not sure I've ever seen that before at a festival. Also one of my gf's clients got delivered by helicopter but then had this as their ride to their table
Latest rumor is between 6-7 PM PT tonight. If it doesn't happen tonight, I think something might have fell through (hopefully not Frank Ocean)
I just saw that random tweet saying 6:45 PT. I didn't even think about someone dropping out being the hold up. Hasn't Frank had issues before?
Welp, 6:45 PM came and went lol Yes - I've had tickets to see Frank Ocean three times and he only showed once. Pulled out of FYF in like 2015 or 2016 last minute, and also pulled out of Primavera Sound 2017 when I went last minute (actually showed up for FYF 2018 though). He was on the 2020 lineup, but then didn't want to do 2022 so was replaced by Billie Eilish, so if the lineup isn't out by tomorrow, my guess is he flaked again after GV promised he'd be on the lineup in 2023
My Coachella group chat from last year is already buzzing. I’m sure I’ll drag my feet once again then try to snag a ticket last minute and hop in a friends campsite.
I’ll still be there for the immaculate vibes but I’ll really need to dig into the undercard to find some good shows
I appreciate the nod to a lot of late 90s / early 2000s acts (Bjork, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Sasha & Digweed) and stuff like Blondie, Frank Ocean, Gorillaz, Jai Paul, boygenius, etc. that is pretty rare/non-existent at most U.S. fests, but outside of Frank Ocean, very few bands I actually listen to lol Its a great lineup in terms of hitting the demographic and what Coachella was meant to do, just not sure how I'm personally going to justify the trip this year unless I get lucky with lodging, as outside of Frank, there's not really any big acts I would spend my own money on
I went in 2004 and 2014. Was thinking of trying to do 2024 but there are probably better festivals over there to attend now.
If you’re going, go see Scowl on Saturday and then watch faces melt on Sunday when Knocked Loose plays.
Knocked Loose is trending, lol that’s so amazing. Probably a bunch of dumb influencers now thinking they’re part of the hardcore scene.
I watched the whole set, that was unbelievable. Been to Coachella six times and been a devoted streamer since 2019, and that’s the best hard rock crowd I’ve seen
