Daniel has always got on my nerves. Still does. Love this show though even though I hated karate kid.
I had t watched just because it was on YouTube but watched it all this weekend and this week and wow incredible
So we're supposed to think LaRusso is a villain now? I'm on ep 2 of season 2, and def don't think he's the villain at all. Kreese is if anything, and of course Johnny is the flawed hero, but Danny is still a good guy -- at least at this point.
I think that’s what they wanted to trailer to make you think but I don’t think the show is trying to make either of them a villain
The reunion episode "Take a Right" features a terminally ill Tommy along with the other Cobra Kais from Karate Kid. I looked him up to see if he was actually sick, hence the episode, turns out he died later that year. Don't think he was sick during filming though, so that is a sad coincidence.
the guy looked terrible the whole episode regardless of makeup. I would guess that he was sick which fed into the episode.
That's why I looked it up, because he looked bad. They were apparently bringing him back for season 3.
If anyone was confused by Robby's costume, and everyone asking him if he was "Dan Johnson". He meant to say "Don Johnson" not Dan.
For a second at the beginning and at the end. He serves no purpose to the show. Getting the name wrong was the joke...
I know.... That's still a pretty vague reference for most. I wouldn't have known who it was at all if he wasn't a character in an autobiography I just read last month.
I don't think so. I think the point is more that each has a perspective and everything is not as black and white as one is a villain and one is a hero like it was in the movies. When I describe it to people, I use the analogy of Wicked versus the Wizard of Oz. We het to see the bad guys perspective and you are able to empathize with them more.
I did the same when I watched it last year and heard he died, and was like oh, that made sense. I assumed he was sick or at least not very healthy. If he wasn't sick during filming her sure didn't look like a healthy person. Great job by make-up.
Sam is the true villain. She's been smoochin with everybody: Snuffy, Al, Leo, Little Mo with the gimpy leg, Cheeks, Boney Bob..... Cliff!
Watched it all this weekend. what a fucking show. Yea it has nostalgia, its cheesy but man do they tell a great fucking story. The Johnny vs. Daniel stuff feels so fucking real.
Just finished s1. Didn’t like how they had Miguel bra sympathetic character for the first 8 eps and then he was an asshole. Same with What they did with Robby. He was a druggy that dropped out of school and ended up being the good guy
