Since my nostalgia is wearing off, I'm Starting to realize the extreme limitations in level design for this game. Way to easy to spawn trap a team on one side of the map, extremely narrow corridors for sniping and no verticality to the maps

I said "emphasizes" gun skill. MW, MW2, MW3 and Ghosts were a trap gods haven. Literally no obstruction on so many maps from spawn points. In treyarch games the three Lane approach keeps gun skill the top priority because spawn trapping is outta the question. Stay still and prosper in IW games, use movement, aim and spawn knowledge to prosper in TA games. It just depends how you like to play

It’s far worse than I remember. TTK is so fast even standard feels like hardcore and the maps are just so riddled with areas to hide that I continually died from people just hanging out in closets or random garages. that’s not to mention the just ridiculous amount of snipers that pollute it. I felt like every game was some sort of snipers only playlist.
I only played two maps. I didn’t have create a class and just gave up. I was a 10th prestige 55 in the day.
I was insane with the 50 cal and the mp5 on the original, bought remastered when it came out on ps4 so excited and got blown away. Played it through first prestige so I could have a run with the 50 cal again but to cap off the disappointment, I got the 50 cal and if you can’t quick scope there aren’t even really more than 1 or 2 maps where sniping was effective. MW2 has as much nostalgia for me, it was the game we bullshitted on through college, and would be just as excited for it to be remastered but I know it would be a total shit show to play.
