ramszoolander did you really lurk in this fine thread and fail to bump it? Cmon son! Just ordered some beans from a roaster in pearl, ms. gocoffeego doesn't even know the tmb connection there.
Anyone have some cunty coffee recs? Going to order some nice ones for my gf.. but I don't know whats good.
I order from gocoffeego. You can search by what she likes. My personal favorite is an Ethiopian from klatch roaster, but they were out when I ordered on Sunday.
in laws came back from their yearly trip to the motherland (guatemala) and boy oh boy did they come back with some good beans
Got the cafe open. Using a Nuova Simonelli Aurelia II espresso machine, plus pour overs, cold brew, and drip. All brewed with a direct trade Peruvian that is amazing we get from a non-profit. If anyone is ever in Orlando come by.
Have an aero press. Love it. I can honestly say I am not just a snob, I am a cunt about coffee Nitro Cold brew is for the elite Pour overs - prefer Indonesia or Ethiopian Beans Starbucks is for the poors
I'm the opposite of cunty these days as we get more kids. I brew in a 10 y/o Krups combo espresso/drip with Seattle's Best #3 blend. :( I'm not a total heathen, so I do descale every couple months.
I suspect that this is an error, but I just noticed that the bonavita 1900 is $100 right now on amazon. It's generally thought of as one of (if not the) best auto coffee makers that you can get, especially at the $200 price point. I've never seen it less than $170. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...vita 1900ts&qid=1444497466&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1
I consider myself extremely cunty when it comes to coffee. A corner of my kitchen looks like a damn coffee shop with obnoxiously large espresso machine and grinder, etc. Hell, I used to roast my own beans (still do occasionally). But, most professional baristas are literally in the top 1% of 1% of cunts. Some can be really friendly and helpful but far too many make you want to murder them.
Yeah I hate that. We really stress that if someone wants a drink a certain way, make it that way, no matter your personal opinion. For doing some pretty high quality stuff we have been able to keep it approachable.
Understanding the business side of coffee (i.e. that people paying for the drinks are what pay your salary) is lost on too many of the "artists". Sounds like you are pushing a good balance which is great. I am in Orlando several times a year for work (mostly in the Winter Park and downtown areas) so I will have to check out your shop. Is it in the same space with popsicle shop?
Can't wait to watch that documentary "Barista" going around the circuit. Going to be some grade-A cuntery.
Got a French press recently and have been using locally roasted beans. So much better than the tassimo pods.
I am trying to maintain a certain level of cuntiness while also providing a normal coffee maker for our nanny that hardly speaks English to make her morning coffee.
the worst? They are the highlights of my mornings and you feel amazing afterwards. The cup on the commute, get settled at my desk, promptly shitting at 8:30 routine is just amazing.
I miss the pour over process in my weekend. Anyone in the dfw want to buy my bonavita? I've had it less than 2 months and only use it on the weekends.
Made a "cappuccino" today with the French press today. Used the same amount of beans, but halved the water. Then I heated up some milk and frothed it with the press. Turned out pretty well I think.
Fiance got a chemex for her bridal shower, sumbitch didn't come with filters so I'll have to wait till after the holidays to get cunty
I have the capresso infinity. Depends on what you want to pay, but this seems like the least expensive viable option. The sweethome has a good comparison on them.
I have an 8 cup Chemex. We live in Manhattan so something small and quiet would be great. Preferably stainless steel. $100 to $200.
Guys, family only had dunkin donuts kcups. It was awful. Jk, I knew beforehand and brought le chemex.
If you're a true west village hipster coffee cunt, there's only one option: Zassenhaus Beech Wood Closed-Hopper Coffee Mill - Model 151BU https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FEQ5PG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_q1BGwb1P6QKNC
Hi, got rid of my keurig k cup. Donated it to God's Will. Which French Press brand should i check out. Also a grounder. Ill hang up and listen!
The Baratza line has some good options in this range. Short of the vario line, the main differences lie in the bells and whistles.
I have this one and really like it. SterlingPro French Coffee Press --8 Cup/4 Mug (1 liter, 34 oz), Chrome https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DUHACEE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_J-FGwbKTHBCB3
