Would be surprising. Cal has went all in on Trae Young, and a lot of the recruiting guys think UK leads. Eric Bossi just posted that it might be Georgetown.
Waters ain't going to Kentucky. Would be fairly shocking at this point. Dude is a distant third behind Trae Young and Quade Green in the PG pecking order for Calipari
Goodman and Zagoria both saying probably G-Town as well. Makes sense with the sudden visit last weekend and lines up with what our board as heard, supposedly the staff thinks they have a great shot at Darius Garland next year and they don't want to scare him off. Talk is Crean never even personally visited Waters fwiw.
Yeah, he's pretty much the only 2/3 Kentucky has a decent shot at fwiw. They backed off a bit in the summer, and focused on Diallo, but I think UK is pushing for a Fall commitment from Petty. Fwiw, UK "insiders" think Petty is a toss up with Alabama, so he's not a lock at all.
Georgetown for Waters. Said he made his decision last Friday during his second trip down. The new athletic center played a role as did his academics.
Yes. He's at a 76% UK crystal ball prediction on 247 right now http://kentucky.247sports.com/Season/2017-Basketball/InstitutionPredictions
I think Z was hoping for a response from someone who wasnt going to pull an easily accessible stat off of the internet, but thanks for the hard hitting analysis
Brooks looks to be taking his UNC visit this weekend and deciding next week Our people are saying since it looks like we won't get Brooks, we're passing on Obiagu, and saving our last spot for the spring signing period
yeah weird stuff. all our mods were kind of taken aback idk what could possibly happen in a month to fix his transcripts we still need a 4 to start next year. idk if this means roy is moving on from Vanderbilt and pj. still gonna keep a spot open for knox in the spring wouldnt be surprised if brooks pops for us. maybe roy is still hoping for 2 of his big 3 targets but a 7 person class sounds insane. probably hedging on tony bradley leaving early more than anything
Richards should pop for UK soon. Also, with Petty most likely choosing Alabama, UK offered Shai Alexander, and the feeling is he wants to commit. I think Cal is guaging interest on a Trae Young/Green backcourt before accepting the commitment. Green is announcing soon, as well. Gonna be an exciting few weeks of recruiting.

Bama hoping to land Collin Sexton and John Petty on the 10th. Would be the best day of basketball recruiting for us probably in my lifetime.
technically he's announcing on wednesday but he told the coaches he's gonna sign then class is weird so far but i like the long term depth in the post
looks like his dad won out mom didnt even show up to the announcement and his dad coaches at miss state between this and last night i am just going to stop pretending to have any idea about anything in this world
Unless we get some players not on the radar, this is going to be KU's worst recruiting class in a number of years. We've had some OK 2 man classes in the past but this one is going to be more impactful due to the amount of minutes we will have open next year for 4's and 5's.
It is a weird class for KU,but i count Newman also since he isn't playing this year. If Graham returns & Newman is at SG and Vick blows up then there isnt a lot of guaranteed starting minutes. Udoka will probably start at Center and Bragg hasnt shown anything resembling NBA game so that could be our starting lineup. Garrett & Lightfoot will come off the bench but we need another big who can play serious minutes.
UNC basically has one stud, who's a legacy commit, and then a bunch of guys we used to consider as round out the class for depth types. Maybe we'll land Knox, but nothing in the last 5 years or so has me confident in that. I am intrigued by this supposed potential of Manley at least.
his mom wanted unc. his dad wanted mississippi state. dad won mom didnt even show up. another family member brought unc themed cupcakes to the ceremony bc she was told he was signing with unc
So a lot of smoke that Billy Preston might sign with KU. Equal amount of smoke is that he won't qualify due to his time at Prime Prep and then pull a Brandon Jennings and go to Europe. Signing a top 15 player is good news but after Diallo and Cliff Alexander, I'd prefer not to deal with such eligibility risks. However, after we struck out with our other big targets, I don't think we have an option to pass on Preston.
I don't know much about Prime Prep other than Cal basically vowed to never recruit a kid that attended there after Mudiay spurned him (which allowed Ulis to fall ibto his lap thankfully). Has every kid that attended there have eligibility issues? Why would these guys keep going to the school? Blows my mind.
