This is really interesting. Brooks committed to Mississippi State because his father is an assistant coach. Word at time of commitment was that his mother was very much against it because she felt her son had been pressured and worried a bit about "dad will get fired if I go elsewhere".

in all seriousness, hopefully he goes somewhere he actually wants to go. it was clear when his mom skipped the announcement ceremony and just his general demeanor at it that he was being used by his dad. saw some rumors that howland was leaning on the dad to deliver the son with the implication that his job security depended on it. good for him and his mom to not allow him to be a pawn. stupid decision by mississippi st to let it get this big

no idea if roy will get back in on him but we have the room even if we get knox and return both berry and bradley.
