unc has reached out to cam johnson (pitt grad transfer with 2 years eligibility left) he is a really solid player and a good shooter. would start for most teams in the top 25. i know uk has been after him for a while but have to think the knox decision means he's heading elsewhere.
UK's rivals guy says he's leaning Arizona. Depends on Alkins staying in the draft. Would be a good replacement to Jackson though.
he can play a small ball 4 too. doesn't really help our issue at the 5 tho because luke maye just cant do it (assuming bradley leaves). our guy is saying tcu is a possibility with dixon there. he lit our ass up in chapel hill this year. would love to have him
he's confirmed interest in carolina and has been granted his appeal on being blocked for other acc schools. he would be perfect for us. seems like there is a decent amount of momentum
Anybody know what's up with Brian Bowen? Texas players are tweeting at him and he's tweeting back. I kno he's reached out to Texas a few times to be turned away because his handler got in trouble recently. Beyond that, I don't know much.
Quite the enigma. Last year most Spartan fans thought it was a matter of time before he committed (he is Jason Richardson's cousin). Kept delaying his decision and Arizona seemed to be the leader for a while. Has continuously said/hinted at evaluating schools rosters when making a decision. MSU stopped recruiting him and he seems intent on going to the school where he can play the most to showcase his skills as he is firmly on the one and done plan.
so the appeal means he can now transfer to an acc school but he still has to sit out a year. he is working on appealing that as well. roy and stallings are really close so maybe that gets taken care of seems ridiculous that a guy can graduate and you can still restrict where he goes
That would definitely be Texas. He can come play for one year on the wing and then be replaced by Keldon Johnson next year.
if saban signed off on a grad transfer to uga bc of criticism, i would think stallings would do the same especially since him and roy are so close
We thought he was an MSU lock before he reclassified. I'm more disappointed to miss on him than Bowen. I'm really surprised Bowen isn't going to MSU though. I thought he was a lock
Apparently, Cam Johnson has been blocked from transferring to UNC. Just posted an hour ago http://keepingitheel.com/2017/05/21/unc-basketball-cam-johnson-blocked-transferring-north-carolina/
absolutely ridiculous. he graduated from the school after playing for a coach he never committed too. shouldn't be any restrictions hopefully this is like when saban eventually gave into the pressure of allowing that kid to go to uga but stallings is a known cunt
I hate transfer restrictions unless it's a stone cold fact there was some tampering. Let the kid go to UNC even though blocking him would likely mean he is Kentucky bound.
i understand it with undergrads. but this dude has already graduated. we had a wr transfer to uva as a grad transfer 2 years ago and adam smith did the same from vt to gt a few years ago. stallings is a cunt. hopefully the media pressure swings things like with spike albrecht last year.
Now that I see Alkins pulled out of the draft, I'm okay with the UNC block. Gotta make sure he does the right thing and picks UK.
why do you think someone who has already graduated from a school should have their status determined by them?
I just think the team/coach has every right to look out for themselves just like players do. I'm not in the group of people that think college athletes are so mistreated, poor, and restricted. Grad transfers are already kids exploiting a rule created for academic purposes for their athletic benefit. It's "immoral" for Pitt to block Johnson, just like it's "immoral" for Johnson to bail on his team and teammates to help a loaded conference rival in my opinion
I don't see Johnson picking UK with Knox going there. I would see what happens with Holiday/UCLA and Oregon.
Arizona 2018 commit Emmanuel Akot will reclassify and enroll at Zona in the fall. That basically rules out Brian Bowen for sure now I'd assume.
Jontay Porter (Michael's brother) just committed to Mizzou. Shocking, I know. He's #10 in the '18 rankings, but may reclassify to this class.
Was he ever class of 2017? I knew some really smart people in high school but even they didn't have enough credits to move up a grade in May of their junior year. I understand how some prep school kids can because they get held back early in high school to be bigger and stronger than their peers but don't believe the Porters have done that.
Now I have guys on the Texas side telling me that the Horns have a really good shot at Bowen. While I hope this doesn't turn into an absolute circus, I can't help but imagine a starting five of Coleman, Jones, Bowen, Osetkowski, Bamba
here's a non-KSR article on it http://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...0-on-staying-in-nba-draft-or-returning-to-uk/
Walking into a courtroom to attend my late brother's trial for federal gun charges and seeing him on the docket doing a shooting motion with his hands and pointing to the stand, where I see the infamous Karen Sypher along with KSR's Matt Jones in the crowd, may have been the most strange moment of my life.
