really interested in what happens with him. love is looking like his is going to be one of the two and then cade is obviously a take no matter what. idk if we'd take 3 but i also don't think love and davis are competing for 1 spot. in summary, idk
UNC is making a literal huge move. Adding Walker Kessler to Day’Ron Sharpe is crazy. And they appear to be on the shortlist for several 5 star guards and wings.
it was out of nowhere. knew he was visiting but everyone thought we were a distant third behind duke and auburn. he's an incredible fit beside sharpe lot of buzz about cade cunningham. him and ziaire williams (who seems to be heavily leaning unc) are taking ov's this weekend along with greg brown on an unofficial caleb love seems to be leaning unc too. he swears he is very open to the idea of playing with another lead guard (aka cade) but you never know plus bryce thompson is a possibility too. dream class is something like love/ziaire/cade/sharpe/kessler/3-4 year guard (kerwin walton or rj davis maybe)
would be very surprised if he plays in college he’s been hanging out on our campus frequently and the staff seemingly has little interest in recruiting him seriously
Patiently waiting for uk, duke and unc to fill up so juwan can hopefully get some leftovers. Getting pretty late for backup plans and he has only recruited top 50 kids and we need 5+ in this class.
caleb love cancels his louisville and kansas visits down to unc and missouri. everyone has him pegged to unc #Missouri Tigers i am guessing yall don't have high hopes on your end
yeah with evan daniels and the rest of the recruitment world having him going unc, cancelling the trips and announcing a final 2 is the only way he can maintain some "suspense"
caleb love walker kessler day'ron sharpe is already our best class since at least 2014 (justin jackson, theo pinson, joel berry). add ziaire williams and then swing for the fences with cade. roy is assembling a monster i think this class has a chance to be better than the 2006 class (#1 sg wayne ellington, #1 pf brandan wright, #1 pg ty lawson, two top 100 centers in deon thompson/alex stephenson and 4 star will graves) thanks this has been my weekly installment of fantasizing about the 2020 class
UNC was the fave for a while now. I was surprised Mizzou got back into it. Can’t blame him. He can take fake classes and just focus on bball
Hyper athletic shot blocker with limited offensive skills, supposedly um hasnt chased hard because of grade issues and MSU already got their big.
We were the early favorites and thought we would land him. Ultimately both sides drifting from each other and we just landed Sissoko. Really talented kid though and seems to be looking for a place to be he feature guy in order to be a one and done.
We seem to be trending for him a lot recently. He's taking his official this weekend and Nimari Burnett officials soon as well who we seem to be in the driver seat for. Just didn't know about Jackson as a player
Mom seems to have gotten pretty vocal that he will, word was she’s crazy so that’s part of the reason why uk and unc backed off. She loves juwan though.
I wonder if the recent Cade Cunningham buzz with UK is actually legit? Seemed to come out of nowhere right after the Devin Askew visit, which also apparently went very well (with rumors of a commitment coming soon). Wonder if Cal let Cade know his spot is about to be taken, hence the canceled team USA stuff and visit to BBM? UNC guys heard anything new?
One of the very few guys I trust with recruiting stuff makes me think it’s legit. Now he’s not saying UK is in the lead by any means but he is indicating it’s definitely getting interesting.
MSU landed AJ Hoggard over the weekend which seals the deal on 2020 barring Bryce Thompson reconsiders MSU (not going to happen). Full steam ahead to 2021 which hopefully sees Bates reclassify.
Don't feel like skimming through the running thread on our board, but I don't think anyone would be surprised if he ended up at UK
our main mod said its unc/uk for cade, ou/unc for bryce thompson and unc/so cal for ziaire seems like bryce is trending towards unc and then we just hope the day'ron sharpe/cade/ziaire package rumor has legs
How do y’all feel about Greg Brown? Seems like he could end up anywhere with the way his dad handles things
not sure he'll have a spot at this rate. thompson and cade are fall decisions. if we get both somehow, we only have one spot left and that is reserved for ziaire williams. idk that recruitment is weird. his post official interview last march was one of the most glowing interviews i have ever seen but things have dwindled a bit since. seemed like texas but they have faded too. feels like you're right that he could end up anywhere
Wonder when the last time that one father and son duo (Jamal Mashburn Sr. and Jr.) played for another father and son duo (Rick and Richard Pitino).
