Gophers vs Penn State puck is dropped for the rare Thursday/Friday tilt (Bally’s Sports North). For the Gophers, it is the 5th consecutive series against a top 12 ranked team. For Penn State, it is the second consecutive series seeing a #1 in front of the opponents logo.
Logan Cooley is fun to watch. Filthy crossover and then he just puts in on his teammates stick for an easy goal.
Best wishes. Scary situation that is normally limited to kids under 1 or with pre-existing conditions (respiratory issues, Down syndrome, etc). Our 2-yr old was on synagis vaccine the last 2 years because he has DS and had to have a lobe of his lung removed at 5 months old. When the older two both got RSV last spring it scared the shit out of us for the youngest.
It looks like our goalie is out (likely due to illness). The other major contributors look like they are in the lineup although Koster is one of our top 4 defensemen and he is listed as an extra skater which may signal recovering from something.
The Wolverines are only dressing 18 skaters Thursday, including third-string goalie Tyler Shea, who is listed as a forward. No Fantilli either
Sweep. 11-3 weekend (5-0 & 6-3) And a 2 man breakaway with 2 of the best freshman in the country. We are done in the state of Michigan for the season and leave with 12 points and a 22-8 goal differential.
It was a great series. Going back to the college hockey showcase weekend, I’ve always enjoyed playing Michigan. I respect any team that is aggressive and will open it up and skate with the Gophers. It is must see television.
Early in the second period when the score was tied 3-3, my 8 year old turned to me and said, “this is a high scoring game. I wonder what the over/under was.” #prouddadmoment
FIFY Sloppy play from the Huskies. Meier out with illness and when Luedtke went out on a 5-min major, the whole game seemed to flip. Hope they can rebound tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing the Huskies at Herb Brooks next weekend with a buddy and our boys.
