Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Hence why I do not post a whole lot over there anymore as people were not too happy when I was quite critical of Goodman and Simas this year (and look how things with Simas turned out). AM does a great job running the site, but some of the guys that post there are dip shits who think they know everything there is to know about the Buffs, football, and life in general.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I mean, I guess I am the only one who is f*cking pumped about OSU because it's who I grew up loving. Would be nice to take a pay day to ease our transition into the Pac 10 with some more cash. Ohio is a big recruiting ground for us and while a home and home would have been nice, it's not the end of the world IMO
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I have no problem with Ohio State and anyone who does can fuck themselves with buffnation's left foot
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I only have a problem with it if we don't get a return game out of it, or we don't get something close to the rumored $2 million for the game. With a new coaching staff I would have hopes of winning, with the joke of a staff we currently have, I would have close to none.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I have nothing wrong with it either. I would much rather play top teams than a powderpuff squad. Besides, weren't all the games through 2016 scheduled anyway or do we have to reschedule the home and away with Oregon down the road since it will then be a conference game?
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- In their cool new bowl of macaroni uniforms?
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- sooooo fucking ugly FUBU did them wrong
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- If we don't rape CSU into a bloody submission, Fire Dan the second the game is over http://www.ramnation.com/message_board/athletics/2010/August/17/1155035.php
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I said the same thing before the CSU game last year
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- How is T-Clemons doing ??
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- he's been doing alright. plenty of speed and good route running. sounds like all of our wr's have been dropping passes, including him. he will be starting against csu and he will hopefully be a huge part of a better offense this year.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- WOW . Yes, if we lose to CSU he should find his own way home! Oh, and I love that Hansen comment in that post, 4th on the depth chart for sure...
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- i thought way too highly of our team last year especially considering all the fresh meat we had on the offensive line. we also shouldn't have been a 3 win team. there's not a single reason that i can think of, outside of dan being our coach, that we will lose to colorado state. if he stumble around, drop passes, miss field goals and bumble our way to a victory ... fuck him. this team needs to come out, blow the doors off, drop csu's trou and being to ravage them w/o the use of any lubrication. anything less than a 2 TD victory will be horse shit.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Still need to find someplace to watch the CU/CSU game. Charter doesn't fuck with The MTN network. :curses:
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Can someone explain why we got worse? Our DB's are a year older and more experienced. Our LB's are possibly the fastest unit we've had in some time. Our Dline is young yes, but didn't lose anyone from last year that got playing time. Our wide receivers are the best we've had since.... Our Oline has all the talent in the world + another year of experience. Our running backs do leave some to be desired. Our QB is a year older and experienced. I mean...I'm trying to think of one area that we got worse in but I can't.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- special teams, believe it or not, could be worse.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- outside of the actual kickers, i think our coverage teams will be a lot better. i'm looking forward to seeing webb bring the hammer on the kickoff coverage team
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Anyone else think Terrel Smith should be thrown in the fire at safety and move Polk back to running back?
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Greg Brown is the god of all defensive football and he said Polk is a NFL draft pick at safety, don't you remember? He needs to stop starring into the backfield and he will be fine. Terrel is gunna be good though, no doubt about it. Maybe he can concuss Goodman this week.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I figured I would get this response. fixed
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Would love to get a series going with CU. I would pick you guys in my top 5 to get a home and home or 2 and 1 like we are doing with Nebraska. I would take a week off of work and it would be a nice excuse to spend a week or so in CO.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- At first I saw your handle and was because I thought you were an Oregon fan who lives in a cave but then I saw Southern Miss. Lets wait until DeAndre Brown leaves.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Another great Hawkins quote: ""He's a guy that can take a four-yard hitch and turn it into an eight-yard gain." Talking about Kyle Cefalo
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- if thats the case, we know who will be throwing to him.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- team went to boondocks for some "unity time" and came back with this awesome monkey I also at the Cefalo quote. Really looking forward to seeing that happen a lot this year.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I thought about posting it on the stampede, but didn't want to get all the Hawk fluffers panties in a bunch
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I wish the season would hurry up and start. Will know pretty much everything I need to know about this season after the CSU game. It will either be, alright, .500 is possible or sweet jesus, pass the booze, here we go again
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- 2007 vs knu on altitude right now!
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Wow I missed that Cefalo quote..
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Was from a CUbuffs.com article.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- From TOOS, so TIFWIW "As of today, they plan on playing five freshman, etc. -Uzo-Diribe, Trea Jones, Torres, Terrel Smith, and Richardson. That is what two coaches said today. -Also, found this interesting. They don't think Cal is going to be a tough game after scouting them and they expect to win that one fairly handily. How ya like that?????? " Yet another
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- kinda shocked that trea will see the field this year ... they must be downplaying the shit out of him to the media
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Nice, I met him a couple times when he was here, really cool guy. Hope he does well.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- so as a student its either i buy season tickets for $120 (+$25 for the CSU game) or single game tickets at regular prices? no student discount for single games? think i only went to 3 home games last season.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Depends on when you want to get to the game. If you like to arrive in the middle of the 1st Quarter then you get student section tickets.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- well actually I just want to buy tickets to the CU/CSU game for less than $55.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Yeah that is a challenge, they won't even sell tickets for that game at King Soopers. They are going to make sure they get every penny they can for that game.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Statistics were not released following Colorado’s closed scrimmage today, but players and coaches agreed afterward that the Buffs running game took center stage. “It was fun. We had a good scrimmage, I think,” junior tailback Rodney “Speedy” Stewart said. “It took us a while to get going. But once we got going, we got some good blocks. We got some good carries. “The holes were crazy,” Stewart added. “Even against the No. 1 defense, there were some good holes.” Stewart said his longest run went for about 30 yards. He also caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Tyler Hansen. “I got a lot more carries,” Stewart said. “I got to see the field a little bit. I think with me coming back as a veteran and knowing more, and the line coming together, we’re going to be a lot more effective.” The three-hour scrimmage at Folsom Field was conducted in a game-like format. Offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau said both quarterbacks, the junior Hansen and senior Cody Hawkins, were “efficient.” And, yes, the running game moved the chains, Kiesau said. “We want that balance,” Kiesau said. “We want to run it and throw it. We ran the ball well today. I liked the way the running backs played. The guys on the offensive line have been together for a while. They’ve spent some summers together. That continuity is good. “We’re still building. We’re not there yet. But we’re working toward that.” Kiesau said he rotated quarterbacks Hansen and Cody Hawkins between the Nos. 1 and 2 offenses. Hansen said he got more work with the first-team unit. The most spectacular play of the scrimmage, according to accounts, was turned in by junior receiver Toney Clemons, the transfer from Michigan. After catching what appeared to be a simple a sideline pass from Hansen, Clemons tiptoed to stay in-bounds and then made a fake on safety Ray Polk to break into the clear for a 49-yard touchdown. “Toney made (Polk) look silly,” Cody Hawkins said. “But he does that on a lot of people.” As usual after scrimmages, coach Dan Hawkins said there is plenty to clean up before the Sept. 4 season opener against Colorado State at Invesco Field at Mile High. The coach was pleased that there was only one turnover – an interception of a Hansen pass by inside linebacker Michael Sipili, who tipped the ball to himself. Dan Hawkins said he was not aware of any significant injuries.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- thanks dan, you continue to be the gift that keeps on giving
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- watched the scrimmage highlights, clemons def. juked the jock strap clean off of polk on that long touchdown. can't wait to see that against the rams. saw cordary getting some carries they ran a reverse to travon hansen looks :dre: as a mutha, looked real good running with the ball saw chidera get totally owned by solder on a pass rush
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Despite the positive reports on the running game, that is one thing I will definitely not believe until I see it.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I expect to see Hansen running a fair amount this year, which is exciting. I don't know how I feel about playing Chidera this year, because he sounds like a but an ideal candidate to bulk up one year and then start for 3-4 years.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I'm wondering if he would come in at the DE/LB tweener spot where Beatty/Ahles is at. Seems like that would give him more of an advantage to use this speed around the edge.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- My exact thought. I'd love to see him move into the build of a Sergio Kindle. Big enough to rush the line, but quick enough to drop back in coverage...and lower the fucking boom.
