Lack of efficient guard scoring will kill the team. KJ too inconsistent, others cant really generate their own shots (maybe Gabbidon), and da Silva is not demanding enough for shots. KJ and Hadley both have big confidence. Hadley should quit that shit quickly (assisted shots only my man), but KJ will probably need to continue chucking because nobody else can really create for themselves outside of da Silva. i do think Tad is right — be unselfish. The approach needs to be “I take a great look or I pass this so we can find a great look”. Tad may also want to swap Nique to the bench because he has been trash, but that may kill the rotation. Both Nique and O’Brien just not bringing any confidence into the scoring department this season. I wonder if we see Ruffin take a bigger chunk of time, because the stroke is nice and the confidence is clearly there.
Ruffin is a massive downgrade athletically from Clifford and O'Brien though. I fear making him play any defense.
Pretty clear Tad agrees with you that Ruffin’s defense is not there, and I have not watched him closely but from what I have he does not seem to have the necessary focus level to make Tad happy on defense yet. Honestly, lots of pieces to play with. Will be interesting to see the lineups evolve.
Unranked team, so of course we get our doors blown off. fully expect us to go .500 and win the pac 12 tourney.
The wait is getting to me. If not Prime (meme team baby), then who would you want? Want: I THINK Herman, for the drama. Doubt it happens, from the sound of it: No Thanks: Troy Taylor, because he may be successful but it will be like slowly be pulling teeth to get there, and I don’t trust Rick George to make him bring in recruiters.
1. Sounds like the effort/push was there. 2. Personally, I don’t mind the alternative mentioned assuming there is a big emphasis on building the correct staff. 3. Wonder who the third candidate is.
If Herman is the alternative, sign me up. I am not a Bronco guy, but honestly if he is the floor… we’ll there have been worse options hired here. Numerous. frankly the overall pool of options seems decent.
It’s also one of the rare coaching searches that you know with 100% certainty, he can’t be worse than the last guy.
I feel like we’re at this point. The letdown if we don’t land him would be off the charts. I stopped watching after the 1st series, but the 2012 team vs this team would be quite the battle.
I pay zero attention to CU football anymore. Are we really going after Deion Sanders? Why in god’s name would he come to Boulder? I figured his recognition and relative success would get him a flyer to bigger/better pretty quickly.
So to summarize: 1. Good news would be about 1 week away. 2. If we get an update before that time, we may be in trouble with Deion. 3. School is apparently aiming at changes to the admission process (positive changes). 4. None of the supposed top backup candidates CU is after have been accounted for, as of yet, in the other openings. Mendenhall, Herman, Walters. Prime to CU would is the clearly the top option, but even aside from that it seems like the new President is at least pushing the right button to get some changes made and the hiring process has not yet been a total failure (though there is still time for some Buffs shit).
and we found a pile of cash buried somewhere, apparently. Supposedly offering a number in the top part of the conference.
