Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- nothing like getting teargassed on acid in 1999 as couches are burning on the hill...
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- didn't realize we had this much CU fans just thought that SP needed a Colorado thread I always look out for him
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I got my experience with teargas Halloween weekend 2004 on 10th and College. Great time.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- mine was halloween weekend as well.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- same here man. running around in a chicken suit getting nailed with rubber bullets.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I started at CU in '06 and im jealous man. The halloween riots was when CU was truly fucking nuts. Sounds like the most fun ever
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Hawkins running the 9 on 7 drill at practice this morning? Has he realized what he's been doing doesn't work? :oshit:
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- It wouldn't have bothered me if we had a dominating running game, but since our running game was absolute shit...
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- i understand but still ... it's a goddamn drill run for maybe 10-15 minutes the outcrying of ass blood was phenomenal
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Georgia game will now be an evening game.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Well, shit. I'm going to the Bama-UF game that day and was hoping to watch the majority of the CU game while tailgating.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Not seeing the name Espinoza in the discussion for a return job is beautiful.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Riddle showing he might actually be a competent special teams coach? Nah, probably not.

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Anyone catch Kiesau's interview? This is why coaching has me scared. We finally hear about our guys getting fired up and playing with some swagger but then the coaching staff still acts like they have no confidence. I am still worried that if we get down by one lucky early touchdown to CSU the staff will throw the game plan out. Hopefully Prince and Ambrose will pimp slap some swagger into the coaching staff.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Hard to believe I actually attended a game where he hit a game winning FG.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- I was on the field kickin it with Erin Andrews that game against WVU

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- IYO, What to do with Andre Simmons this year 1) redshirt him or 2) play him Seems like only giving him a limited # of snaps is bad idea but who knows if he will be eligible next year.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Only Colorado would have their starting RB get hit by a car
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- lol his car got totalled, he was fine, just chillin by his car on his cell like nothing happened. And as much as I would like to see Simmons get a redshirt, I think they need to play him, because I dont see him being eligible after another year at CU. He got lucky as hell getting through summer school, he really just doesnt give a damn about class.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Personally, I would prefer to redshirt him, but that is assuming he would be eligible next year.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Ray Polk, Colorado Safety CU Safety Parker Orms

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Carzell Vickers has scholarship offers from schools spanning the southern part of California up to the Land of a 1,000 Lakes. Where he ends up might be harder to pinpoint right now. The wide receiver from Highlands Ranch, Colo., has offers from nearby Colorado and Colorado State, Minnesota to the east, San Diego State to the southwest. Vickers is also talking with Boise State, Kansas and Utah. Vickers’ dad, two brothers, and other family members live in California. “Most family lives out there. … I think that would be nice (to play out there),” Vickers said. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be California dreaming next year or playing for one of the future Pac-10 schools. “I’m pretty sure, I just want to go where I can get a free education and play football,” Vickers said. “But having family watch me would be nice.” The decision for Vickers, a two-star recruit, is still a while away. Right now the 6-4, 187-pound wide receiver wants focus to on the upcoming season. Vickers said his two main goals are to gain 1,000 yards and, more importantly, not get hurt. Vickers broke his left wrist last season and was limited to just four games. The wrist is now healed with a plate and seven pins inside, and he hopes to be a bigger contributor to Valor Christian. “We are hoping for another state title,” Vickers said. The Eagles were undefeated last year and won the Class 3A title. This year they are moving up to Class 4A, where Vickers fully expects his team to be ready for the larger schools. “I think we will do fine,” he said. “No one is scared, but competition will be harder.” One reason Valor shouldn’t be scared is because of its strength at quarterback where Colorado commitment Brock Berglund will be leading the team again. The 3-star quarterback enjoys playing with Vickers, and has even tried to recruit him to CU. “(Brock says) It’d be nice to have wide receiver he knows and who can catch a ball (at CU),” Vickers said. “He thinks it would be cool. I think it would be nice for us to go to the same school, but I don’t know.” Vickers’ summer has included trips to the Kansas and Utah camps with teams. He hasn’t scheduled any official visits yet, saying he’ll probably make plans for them in September. He will probably visit the schools that have offered him a scholarship, and he has received e-mails from Minnesota, Boise State and San Diego State coaches about coming on a visit.

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- TIFWIW, but my buddy who is at the scrimmage says, "Hansen looks phenominal, far superior to Cody". Not that it's a surprise to any of us. Oh, and in a shocking development, the first FG attempt was blocked.
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- good to hear, hansen needs to dominate every chance he gets oooh and yeah, lets stop kicking field goals for good or maybe find a girl to do it, because not only is goodman a douche, he is terrible
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Building on our shitty FG unit, our punt team has also looked like shit, and kickoffs are, on average, landing at about the 15. How the fuck does Riddle still have a job? EDIT: Castor has apparently come in and looks much better
Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- What are you skeptical of, exactly? The fact that I joined the site (was already on it), or whether or not its actually me. If its Choice A, , if it's Choice B, I will prove it to you in any way that you desire.

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- Brown targets big senior year Dorian Brown has had a relatively quiet summer recruiting-wise. The No. 72 running back in the country from Loveland, Colo., hopes to liven up with the upcoming start of his senior season. “I want to get over 2000 yards — want to go big my senior year,” said Brown, who had about 1900 yards last season. The three-star recruit hopes that putting up Chris Johnson size numbers will come with the added benefit of more scholarship offers. Currently, Brown (6-1, 230) just has offers from instate schools Colorado and Colorado State. He has, however, been talking to Cal, Arizona State, Oregon, Kansas State and Utah throughout the summer. Brown isn’t just focused on individual goals. After going 0-10 last year, Brown and his Thompson Valley High School teammates have winning a game as their top concern. “I want that to happen,” Brown said. To accomplish that goal he said he’ll need to just do what he does, and hope that all of his teammates step up and play a level above their abilities. The team, which opens practice on Aug. 16 and kicks off the season Sept. 3, took a step in the right direction when they attended the Wyoming camp as a group. “We did pretty good. I’m impressed with how our team performed,” said Brown, whose only complaint about the camp was some poor weather in Laramie. The Cowboys camp was the only one Brown attended this summer. He also made additional campus visits to Colorado and Colorado State. Brown says his college decision right now is wide open, and he’s waiting to see what other offers come his way before he makes any major decisions, including where to take his official visits. Though multiple current and future Pac-10 schools are recruiting him, Brown said he doesn’t necessarily favor that conference. “It’d be cool to play USC and all those other schools, but there’s not much of a difference to me,” Brown said. “I’m not sure. I’m just trying to find a place that I love and want to spend the next four years. It’s going to be a process to figure out.”

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- McDonogh 35 has talent By Mike Coppage Assistant Publisher Posted Aug 11, 2010 "We expect to have 13 or 14 players sign next February," said veteran McDonogh assistant coach Frank Daggs, who oversees recruiting for the New Orleans school. Read further to get the details on two of McDonogh's prize prospects. Louisiana boasts a bumper crop of 2011 college football prospects and McDonogh 35 is at the front of the pack when it comes to Bayou State schools with talented senior players. "We expect to have 13 or 14 players sign next February," said veteran McDonogh assistant coach Frank Daggs, who oversees recruiting for the New Orleans school. QB Theltus Cobbins (Kentucky commit) and WR Charles Henderson (Utah commit) are perhaps the most-recognized names on the Roneagles' roster, but there's plenty more talent at McDonogh, including WR Trey Carter (pictured above) and CB Devon White. "We finished our third practice today," said Carter, a 5-foot-10, 165-pounder with 4.4 speed. "We're just trying to get better, get more disciplined. "I'm a speed guy. I don't think any cornerback can outrun me. It doesn't matter if it's the number one corner out there - or how small or how big he is. I'm a playmaker - that's what wide receivers do. We make plays and it's my job. I'm going to do my thing." In 2009, Carter snagged 27 passes for 600 yards with seven touchdowns. He doesn't have any offers yet, but the senior is hearing from Kentucky, Kansas, SMU, Louisiana Tech, ULM, and Louisiana. He says that Kentucky and Kansas are showing the most interest. White, a 6-foot-0, 180-pounder with 4.5 speed (and a 35-inch vertical), has offers from Colorado, Utah, and Utah State. "We're been putting in hard work at practice," said White, who is also getting attention from SMU, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Tulane. "It's been intense. We've been pushing it. I'm at my best in jump ball situations. I eat that up. I stay disciplined and focused in my assignments and you're not going to make the big catch against me." Last year, the ballhawking White picked off 10 passes and racked up 50 tackles, along with five deflections and three forced fumbles. The Roneagles have arguably the toughest non-district schedule in the state. On September 2nd, McDonogh travels to Thibodaux. The next game features a neigborhood brawl with St. Augustine. Looming after that are tilts vs. Acadiana, Brother Martin, and Amite. "We trying to flip our non-district results," said White. "Last year, we lost those first four games. There's a lot of city bragging rights on the line against St. Aug. It will be physical and we have to be ready to work." The Acadiana game pits perhaps the best DB tandem in the state (Bakari Hollier and Micah Eugene) vs. an extremely deep McDonogh receiving corps. "We have six wide receivers that can play at a high level," said Daggs. "It's a good problem, but it's also a bad problem. How can we get all of them the ball? When we're in our four-wide set, we have two sitting out that should be on the field." In 2009, the Roneagles went 7-5 and lost a last-minute heartbreaker to Neville in the second-round of the Class 4A playoffs.

Re: *OFFICIAL COLORADO BUFFALOES THREAD* ->Winning road games is optional<- terrel smith absolutely destroyed espinoza in the scrimmage yesterday. he held onto the ball but jesus, that hit would have killed me. i don't think we can keep him off the field this year.
